Masseria Scala, is a fortified Salento masseria with a sea view, whose origins date back to around 1172 initially as a 'defence tower' (built by the Benedictines of Aversa) then renovated and enlarged in 1856 by Raffaele Schiavoni, in a land at the crossroads of history and civilisation.

The ancient Masseria Scala is surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes with the incredible blue of the sea in the distance that make this masseria a masterpiece waiting to be discovered.

The masseria has maintained its history and tradition, making it its strong point.

Olives, wheat, vegetables and fruit are grown organically. Within its 125 hectares, you can take walks in the footpaths, cycle, exercise in the estates, go as far as the sea, which is only about 2 km away.

It falls within the nature reserve of the eastern Taranto coastline. Nearby are holm oak forests, archaeological areas, the Chidro river, the Salina Monaci, and the enchanting beaches of Punta Prosciutto and San Pietro in Bevagna.
