« This worked out great for our family. We spent most of our time in nearby Bishop’s Stortford with family. For rest, morning coffee and winding down in the evening, this place was perfect. It was clean and quiet, the mornings and evenings were cool and calm, very relaxing. The place is a bit remote, but that was easily remedied by the superior taxi service we experienced during our stay. We would strongly consider staying again on future visits and feel comfortable passing along this...

« arrivé et dîné le soir, service un peu obséquieux, cuisine OK. En revanche, horaire petit dej du dimanche (9h-10h) pas pratique, et tout était fermé avant. »

« We received a very warm welcome and everything was just perfect. The room was spacious and a super king bed was very comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities in our room and even a small fridge if needed. A fan was in the room in case it was very hot. We had a good meal in a local pub recommended by David and it didn’t disappoint. The breakfast was delicious, just about anything you could wish for in a very nice dining room, we will certainly return next time we are in the area »

« The owner of The Lodge was very welcoming providing me with good information on how to find the place. My room was well equipped with TV, Fridge and Kettle plus storage for clothing if I needed to use it. The site also has ample parking. Although miles from other places, it's a quiet location and quite a hidden gem. It doesn't take long to get back to the Chatham area. »

« It was perfect for the lone female business self employed traveller and had everything I needed , fridge, microwave. These were a godsend. Only thing I would change is the height of the basin and mirror in the bathroom . I’m a average height female at 5’ 4” and the basin and mirror are set at a 6’2” male I’m sure lol apart from that all good would definitely stay again :) »

« Just for one night, before to take a flight. The only advantage of this hotel is its location. Poor service, poor breakfast (BEWARE to be the first in the morning to get something to eat, and even to get clean flatware, and even a clean mug), limited hours (BEWARE, it is written in hotels;com, check in at 5pm, but the guy said it was 6pm !). « Great apartment just 5 mins walk to the pier with all of its attractions. Apartment had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. If I was going to Clacton again I would have no hesitation in staying here. »
