The outside of the house was still having new siding put on. The siding and equipment was there on the property. It was unsightly and a bad first impression. The host didn't give us the code before we got there. They eventually did message it to us after we called customer support, which took about 20-30 minutes after check in. The WiFi password was incorrect. We had to play a 20 minute guessing game to get it figured out. We messaged the host and they didn't respond at all. Thankfully we figured it out because there is no service near the property. The inside was ok, but there were ants that got into our food, ruining some of it. There was also sand on the floor and sunflower seeds in the pull out sofa. We swept three times before it was clean. Overall, it was fine, but we wouldn't have booked this place if we knew they were actively residing it and that it would have ants. For what this cost, we could have booked a nicer place where we could enjoy being outside without staring at an unsided house. I wouldn't recommend it until it's finished and even then, you should be wary since they don't seem to clean very thoroughly. We didn't receive any check out instructions either, so we did what we had been instructed to do at other properties we rented.
