ACs arent common in Switzerland. We apologize if this inconvenienced you in any way.It's important to note that The Royal Hotel Luzern is a historic establishment with a unique charm. As such, certain modern amenities such as Minibar, flat TV and contemporary furnishings are not be available. We have made it clear in our property description that we do not offer parking facilities. Our hotel's unique location near a lake and surrounded by mountains does make encounters with insects unavoidable at times. We do make a point to inform all our guests during check-in about the importance of keeping windows closed throughout the day to minimize such occurrences. Additionally, this information is also outlined in the welcome letter that was provided to you upon your arrival.We do acknowledge your concern about our reception hours, which are operational until 17:00. This policy is clearly communicated during the check-in process and is also detailed in the welcome letter. To ensure that our guests are well-assisted, we have an emergency phone number available that can be used to reach us after hours. If you had reached out to us through this number, we might have been able to promptly address and resolve the issue.Despite the challenges you faced, we truly hope that you were able to enjoy your overall stay in Lucerne. Unfortunaltley those seamed to have been dispposed by you in your lake view room. We would like to highlight that the booking details on Expedia clearly state any inclusions. The price you paid covers the room and tax only, and it gets explicitly mentioned when breakfast is included. We apologize if the complimentary all you can eat croissants, spreads, chocolates, coffee and tea provided fell short of your expectations for a substantial breakfast. We would like to clarify that those items were intended as a gesture of goodwill for our guests.
