Stayed in Room #6. Check in was easy with electronic lock at from door. Rooms located on 2nd floor with no elevator so had to carry suitcases up. Staff was nice to inform us that within the city you need a car permit to drop off and pick up luggage (parking is not allowed within the city walls). Room was also quite inexpensive for the area. As for the room. Pros the washroom looked clean and renovated. The room was quite big with 2 large queen beds. Cons the rooms air conditioning was not working or at least I could not get it to work. The room was very dated and tile floors were cracked throughout. Tile grout of floors looked as if it had not been cleaning in the last 20 years. Would not stay again.

We specify that:1 - the car cannot be parked in the restricted traffic zone, inside the walls there are areas where you can park and we have explained where they were. 2 - The air conditioning works and the fact that you were unable to make it work is your fault, you could have asked how to turn it on.3 - the tiles are ancient, not old! We are in the oldest part of the city and in a building from the 1600s, there are customers who appreciate this when they come to us. Obviously you need to go to a modern hotel and when you book on our page there are photos showing the furnishings of our rooms.

Fantastic location, relaxed hotel though check in was complicated. Facilities to prepare your own breakfast. Good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely restaurant next door and very close to a grocery store.

Beautiful room, with a very responsive host. Loved the window over the street. The room was perfect and Lucca was amazing! Will be returning

Great location
Great location, easy to find and very nice room. Also wonderful coffee, cappuccino etc machine and small kitchen to share. We were able to stay an extra day since we loved Lucca so much. Thank you Residenza Storico!

Great location and a beautiful spacious room (which is rare in Italy). Check-in was easy and friendly and questions about where to park overnight were answered promptly.

Need cell service for check-in, and there is basically no staff on site for your stay. Excellent rooms, very clean, coffee machine. Would definitely stay here again.

Hi Angela, thank you.Check-in can be done from 10:30 to 12:30 in the morning and from 16:30 to 18:30 in the afternoon. On Saturdays and Sundays check-in is only in the morning. At these times there is always someone to welcome the customer. If you want to arrive at different times, we provide the customer with the codes to access the room.Stefano and Francesca
