L'Appartement CASA JANCA, situé dans une rue calme du centre ville et de charme VIA DEI FOSSI -intérieur les murs de Lucca- à côté du Centre d'art contemporain Lucca, donnant sur un joli ruisseau, il est situé dans un bâtiment datant de 11ème siècle qui était partie d'une forteresse médiévale antique.

L'appartement se trouve au rez-de-chaussée qui le rend idéal pour elderlies et dispose d'une entrée privée. L'appartement est situé dans aquiet zone de la ville surplombant un ruisseau: ceci est un endroit très pittoresque! Dans le bâtiment à côté de l'appartement il y a le Lu sur mesure. C.C. UNE. (Lucca Centre d'Art Contemporain) et le célèbre restaurant à l'intérieur de celui-ci a appelé Imbuto (1 étoile Michelin). Au cours du musée du flux continue et vous pouvez voir la magnifique église de San Francesco avec son marbre blanc romane Façade et de nombreuses fontaines. La Via Fillungo (principale rue commerçante), ainsi que Via Santa Croce et le Amphiteathre sont juste sur le coin.

COMPOSITION:
L'appartement dispose d'un salon spacieux avec un double nouveau canapé confortable lit pour dormir 2 personnes (les clients ont l'utilisation de leur propre salle de bain que la maison a total de 2 salles de bains), une cuisine entièrement équipée (lave-vaisselle, four, micro-ondes, grille-pain , bouilloire, machine à café américain et italien et une large sélection d'ustensiles de cuisine), une salle de stockage avec une laverie (lave-linge et sèche-linge + fer et planche), une chambre double avec un lit king size et une salle de bains.

Chaque chambre est climatisée.

L'appartement est équipé de la climatisation et d'une connexion wifi très fiable fournie par la compagnie nationale de téléphone.

Le séjour minimum est de 4 nuits.

Chauffage d'hiver est facturé pour 6 euros par jour ou selon comsuption pour les locations à long terme.

Gorgeous space with all the conveniences

Two large baths so my wife and I spread out our own toiletries in each.. No shower curtains so be careful to aim shower head towards the back! Very chic. Living room like being at home. Large table to spread out our papers and plot our trips around Tuscany. King size bed was comfortable and closing shutters and sliding doors kept street sounds and light mostly out (busses start running right in front early in the morning, but we were usually up anyway). The washer AND electric dryer were very convenient (many places in Italy that boast washer/dryer actually offer a drying rack vs. a machine, and clothes can take as long as 36 hours to fully dry inside, so this was great). The strenuous rules for sorting trash and leaving nothing behind on exit were a bit of a pain, we had bottles out on the stoop the wrong designated day as instructions were not 100% clear. When we left we carried out our wet trash (coffee grinds, uneaten snacks, etc.) to sneak into a public waste bin. There are several restaurants with local folks nearby but the main action in Luca is a 10 - 15 minute walk - we were actually glad not to be in the middle of the Italian "evening strollers" masses! What is not "around the corner" are food stores, we had a bit of a hike to find one for wine and breakfast food. Also if you drive to Lucca the Mazzini car park is just inside the walls and should not be in the ZTL zones (hope we don't get a surprise fine months later as we understand can happen!). Don't bother with driving to find the parking authority to purchase the 50 euro "permission" for weekly/monthly rate, we did on a Sunday as instructed to on arrival by the property manager and they were closed, with limited hours on weekdays as well. The extra cost we incurred for the week (at .50 euros per hour) was only 15 euros, not worth the valuable time away from Tuscany touring to bother. Kitchen had rudimentary supplies but our main requirement was a working corkscrew and a coffeemaker, which were available. Great place to base Tuscany touring from!

my second stay at this property was like last year

Hi there. Just got back from a couple of weeks staying at the apartment. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I would certainly consider staying in the apartment again. Clean, good location, centro storico overlooking the walls, and when assistance was required Mrs Sonia was very helpful. Fabulous stay in Lucca

My husband and I stayed a week at the end of September 2018. And also had a booking for mid October 2018 when we would return to Lucca. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. Ms. Sonia was attentive and made the 2 check ins seamless especially when we returned for the 2nd half of our stay. It was as if we had come home to our own apartment. The apartment was clean and fully equipped for all our needs. The kitchen was like home. The location was exactly the right area with everything we needed close by. Thank you Ms Sonia for making our vacation perfect.

Hated having to leave.

Wonderful accommodations with a location that offers more peace and quiet with a feel of actually residing in Lucca. Both bathrooms were nice, the kitchen quite functional, living area spacious and the bed was comfortable. Minimart across the via, Mazini garage parking 5 minutes away, bus stop right next to the unit and all kinds of restaurants nearby. Washer and DRYER were like frosting on the cake. And I must add that Mrs. Sonia was accommodating and informative with a notebook full of great information and suggestions for a great stay. And she has other agents to help her, one having contacted us to be sure we enjoyed our stay.

Nice location, well furnished (except for light bulbs!)

Overall the apartment was nice. Location not in the middle of everything but Lucca is a small village so walking around is easy. The apartment itself was clean, well furnished (washer AND dryer!) and comfortable. Two things stand out as negatives though: the induction stove top was incompatible with some of the kitchen items (don't put glass cookware/kettle together with an induction stove!) and over half the lights were burned out in the kitchen and sitting area. Which leads me to the most negative thing about our stay:.. Sonia made a point of telling us how available and responsive she was when we checked in. Sounded nice but completely untrue. I texted her about the lights the very first day we were there and she said she would be over later. No showed. Next day I texted her again and she again said she would be over. No showed again. Then, on the third day, we came back from walking the town to find water puddled around the base of one window. There was no obvious leak from the window (the sill was dry) so I once again texted Sonia to let her know. Her reply (and I kid you not) - SHUT THE WINDOW! Really?? Did she think I was an idiot? I replied It IS closed and she replied the owner would be by the next day. Needless to say we never saw Sonia, the owner, or any light bulbs. So if you don't mind being lied to this is a nice place at a fair price. Just know you will be on your own should anything unusual arise.

Perfect for us, as always

I’m sure this is a repeat of my previous reviews. We have been staying at Casa Janca annually for a number of years now. The pictures are accurate. We especially like that it’s on the ground floor, but elevated just enough that we have privacy & quiet. 2 full bathrooms is a real treat, as is having a washer AND dryer. Sonia is very easy to deal with, speaks very good English, and is full of useful information about Lucca. I hope we can continue to stay here every year.

Perfect elegance and comfort in Lucca

This apartment is incredible in every way. The location in Lucca makes everything walkable, the unassuming ground level door opens to a stunningly well-done and beautiful space. Extremely large for European standards, this one bedroom is set up for complete privacy and lavish convenience, with two full bathrooms, a washer AND dryer (uncommon), an extrememly well stocked kitchen for those of us who like to cook, and and top-end finishes throughout. In addition, what makes this place unique and special is the architectural detail, as well as the touches of the owner. The place is loaded with old books, music, art magazines, really a treasure they trust you with as you make their beautiful home yours. Ms. Sonia was impeccably organized, very helpful, and we would highly recommend this place and would book it again without looking further in Lucca.

Wunderschönes Apartment in toller Altstadt

Das Apartment von Sonia ist wunderschön eingerichtet und markellos sauber! Die zwei Bäder sind absoluter Luxus und die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Urlaubern sollte bewusst sein, daß das Apartment direkt an einer gut befahrenen Straße liegt. Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht, ist hier nicht allzu gut aufgehoben. Dieses Apartment ist perfekt für Urlauber, die Kultur- und Städtetrips von Lucca aus planen. Wer in Lucca ist, sollte unbedingt bei Pasqual in der Via del Moro essen gehen! Dies ist ein Erlebnis! Unbedingt ein paar Tage vorher reservieren! Danke an Sonia und ihre sehr informativen Unterlagen in dem Apartment zu allem, was man brauchen könnte!

Good spot to enjoy Lucca

We enjoyed our time at this vacation rental. The apartment was in a great location and the air conditioning worked well, which was essential given the heat while we were there in August. The high ceilings make the place feel large. The bikes that come with the apartment were useful to get around the city.

The stay was very very nice, and the apartment had everything one would need for a family stay. The manager, Sonia, was very helpful, and there is a complete local guide to restaurants and attractions at the apartment that will more than keep you busy for over a week. Lucca is amazing and I would easily recommend this property to anyone contemplating staying in Lucca. (Do bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper as the apartment is on a road that does see early morning traffic which may wake some.) The stay was great. We hope to return soon to Lucca, and this property, next year.
