Quaint Cottage Nestled In Premier Historical Tract

  • This adorable cottage is located on a treelined street, nestled in Monrovia`s premier historical tract. This quiet, family friendly neighborhood exudes the warm welcome and security of a small town and filled with the enchanting beauty of nature and historical architecture. The location is most ideal as it is just a short 10min walk from enjoying the nature trails of canyon park, and the wonderful dining, cafes, and bars of Old Town Monrovia. This is a perfect getaway for one or two couples.

    The cottage is equipped with a sleeping porch that is well lit and includes a couch making it a great space to relax, read, and get some fresh air. The living room is a cozy space appointed by a set of picture windows that surround a large fixed frame window. The day bed pulls out the front underneath and combines to make a king-size bed that will comfortably sleep two. The bedroom and living room are fitted with smart t.v`s and a satellite for local news channels, sports, etc.

    Dining Room: The full-size dining table easily accommodates 4 guests and can also be used as a game table or workspace.

    Kitchen: The galley kitchen equipped with a full-size refrigerator, stove/oven, and sink. Additional items in the kitchen include cookware, utensils, spices, olive oil, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, cups, and plates.

    Laundry: Enjoy a full-size washer and dryer located in the kitchen alcove. We have provided you with dryer sheets, detergent, and bleach.

    Bedroom: The bedroom includes closet space and a full-size memory foam mattress.

    Bathroom: The full bathroom is located off the back bedroom and fully stocked with fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

    Backyard: This is a small, but cozy space, with a set of chairs to relax and enjoy some fresh air.

    The entire home is accessible to guests. No spaces are shared.

    We give our guests their space and privacy! We do not interact with our guests unless they reach out to us first. We are always available to answer messages from guests and prefer to do so within the Air B&B platform.

    This charming cottage is perched north in the foothills of Monrovia. The neighborhood is only a stone`s throw away from the cities cute downtown Myrtle. The cottage sits amongst trees and charming historical homes. You can easily relax and enjoy this place with your significant other or as a family as the neighborhood emits a sense of being with nature for the large trees sweep across the street to shade, revealing the beauty of the San Gabriel Mountains just beyond. It`s a safe and comfortable place that many people enjoy and so it`s not rare to see people out running and walking through the neighborhood or riding bikes. Across from the house is the `little free library`, a neighborhood book stand appointed with a sunflower painting and there for anyone to peruse. Please be sure to return the books at the end of your stay.

    The cottage has a very convenient location that allows those with or without a vehicle to walk to the store, eateries, nature trails, and parks. A popular choice for those without a vehicle is using rideshares such as Uber or Lyft. The nearest Gold Line Metro station is just south of Old Town Monrovia on Myrtle Avenue on the south side of the freeway.

    *The living room converts to a sleeping area for two guests. The trundle bed pulls out to make a king-size bed.
    HOUSE RULES

    1. GUEST REGISTRATION/OCCUPANCY LIMITS
    Only registered guests listed on the reservation may stay overnight.
    Maximum occupancy: 2 persons.
    Day visitors must be pre-approved.
    No unregistered overnight guests.

    2. PARTIES/EVENTS/GATHERINGS
    No parties, events, commercial activities, or gatherings without written approval.
    Excessive noise, DJ equipment, or amplified outdoor sound is prohibited.
    Decorations requiring tape, nails, confetti, glitter, or structural alterations are prohibited.

    3. NOISE & QUIET HOURS
    Quiet hours: 11PM to 8AM.
    Outdoor noise must remain respectful at all times.
    Local city noise ordinances must be followed.
    Repeated noise complaints may result in cancellation without refund.

    4. SMOKING POLICY
    No smoking/Vaping allowed on the property.
    Guests may do so on public property

    5. PETS (IF APPLICABLE)
    Pets allowed only if disclosed and approved.
    Pet stay fee applies: $150
    Pets must not be left unattended unless crated.
    Guests must clean up all pet waste.
    *For the comfort and safety of all guests and neighbors, we kindly ask that pets be well-behaved and not aggressive, destructive, or excessively noisy during the stay.

    6. DAMAGES/MISSING ITEMS
    Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear.
    Stained linens, towels, furniture, or rugs may incur replacement charges if restoration is not possible.
    Furniture may not be rearranged without permission.
    Missing items will be charged at replacement cost.

    7. SECURITY CAMERAS & MONITORING DEVICES
    Exterior security cameras may be present and disclosed in the listing.
    Cameras are not located in private areas.
    Tampering with monitoring equipment is prohibited.

    8. PARKING RULES
    Parking is permitted only in designated areas.
    No street blocking or neighbor driveway obstruction.
    Street Parking; Guests are responsible for familiarizing themselves with all street signs and following street parking restrictions if applicable.
    No RVs, trailers, or commercial vehicles unless approved.

    9. POOL/SPA/OUTDOOR AMENITIES (IF APPLICABLE)
    Use at your own risk.
    No glass near pool/spa.
    Guest must rinse before entering the pool/spa
    Children must be supervised at all times.

    10. BBQ/FIREPIT/FIREPLACE SAFETY
    Clean the BBQ after use.
    Do not leave the grill unattended.
    Follow all local fire restrictions.
    No indoor candles unless permitted.
    Fireplaces only if listed as operational.
    Do not place any items inside gas-operated firepits. (Including wood, paper, or any flammable items)

    11. HVAV & UTILITIES
    Doors/windows must remain closed when HVAC is running.
    Do not disable smart thermostats or internet equipment.
    Thermostat to remain within the temperature parameters of 67°F-
    78°F

    12. TRASH & CLEANLINESS
    Dispose of trash in designated bins.
    Outdoor disposal bins must be secured using the wildlife securing attachments (If Applicable)
    Follow the city trash schedule if staying during collection. (Reference *Disposal Guide)
    Excessive trash left behind may incur additional cleaning fees

    13. MAINTENANCE & REPORTING
    Guests must report damage or maintenance issues immediately.
    Failure to report issues that worsen may increase liability.
    Do not attempt repairs yourself.

    14. ILLEGAL ACTIVITY
    No illegal activity of any kind.
    No weapons discharge.
    No drug manufacturing or unlawful gatherings.
    Violation results in:
    Immediate cancellation without refund
    Possible law enforcement involvement

    15. INDEMNIFICATION & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
    Guests agree:
    To use property amenities at their own risk.
    To hold the host/management harmless for injury not caused by gross negligence.
    Violations may result in immediate termination without refund.
