Encore en rodage
Nous sommes restés 7 nuits à cet hôtel. La chambre était immense avec living room et chambre à coucher séparée. Les espaces à la piscine sont comfortables et bien aménagés. Voilà pour le positif. Cela dit cet hôtel n’est pas un 5 étoiles en ce qui concerne les et le service. D’abord quand nous y sommes allés, en août 2019, ni le spa, ni la terrasse lounge, pourtant annoncés n’étaient prêts. Ensuite les restaurant offre peu de choix à des prix insensés. Le personnel est en general gentil, mais ils ne savent pas réellement quoi faire ni comment le faire. Bref, ça ne valait pas le prix.

Villa Oceana à Santa Monica: belle situation
Plus qu'un hotel, c'est une sorte de villa antique réinterprétée. On est reçu dans un patio autour duquel s'organisent les coursives menant aux chambres. On déjeune et on dine dans ce vaste patio, au son d'une fontaine, et en regardant la petite piscine. Par la fenêtre, on voit la mer et le belle promenade plantée de grands palmiers et dominant le Pacifique. Les chambres sont grandes et calmes. Préférer les suites, bien plus grandes. C'est très agréable. Mais assez cher.

Charmant petit hotel avec toutes les commodités. Psicine au calme, reposante. Personnel trés accueillant et souriant. Hotel trés bien situé par rapport au centre de Santa Monica. Ideal pour ceux qui veulent faire du sport le long de la plage qui est à 200 metres. J'y reviendrai si je dois retourner à Los Angeles

The entire hotel looks beautiful. However, the room looks like the carpet and rugs need to be shampooed...but the rooms was AWESOME! The staff were great, we would definitely come back.

Great, but take care selecting room type.
Great hotel with large suites. Only drawback is poor descriptions of suite types. We would have liked a room with a view, but were at the back of the hotel and the small balcony was facing the apartment building behind. Its a converted apartment building with room access from an open courtyard with central pool. As all rooms are slightly different, they don't all have desks, so I ended up working on laptop balanced on a pile of books because no rooms with desks available. Annoying for a business trip. Operated by Hilton, which I didn't notice mentioned on hotels dot com site. The two queen bed rooms are apparently very small compared to all others.

This hotel is not worth the price! It was very disappointing. My room was spacious and clean but had a strange setup with a tv fixed to a wall facing the beds— which is fine but the bed frame obstructs the view of the TV. Pool service didn’t really exist . It took forever to get a drink or menu . The restaurant is empty but the service was awful— I kept getting comped for meals / drinks because of service but i would have rather paid for an enjoyable meal/service. Food- ok. $32 for a glass of white wine from a screw top bottle. The staff likes to mention a terrace bar that opens at 6pm. There is no bar or service but a small area with some seats- no staff ever showed up at the “terrace bar” after waiting for 20 mins - So we left. The front desk didn’t have much knowledge on tours and offered me a pamphlet on a wine tour that was awful. For my final bill, i was charged for meals I never ate. I went to the front desk and the worker seemed annoyed to have to deal with it. She wanted to handle it without me there. When I told her I’ll wait . She refunded my credit card for an incorrect amount. When I told her it was still wrong , she again was annoyed. Finally she corrected it after trying to convince me that she would do it later. I stayed until she fixed it and then she was annoyed to print me out a copy. I paid $1000 /night for a hotel that was at best comparable to a Westin/ Hilton which is fine if it was at those prices. I would not recommend this hotel.

Oceana Oasis
The Oceana is an oasis within the LA oasis that is Santa Monica. It is a retreat just far enough the hustle and bustle of downtown that you can escape or join in at will. Second time back and only more to come.

Leider konnte man vom Bett aus das Hauptlicht nicht ausmachen - es gab nicht einmal eine Leselampe am Bett! Für diesen Zimmerpreis war das Badezimmer sehr klein - ein Waschbecken und keine Ablage um den Kulturbeutel hinzulegen/stellen: Ich musste ihn dann auf den Boden tun! Ansonsten nette Einrichtung und sehr nettes Personal. Aber grundsätzlich überteuert.

great location, wonderful staff and beautiful room
This is our second time staying at Oceana. We have loved staying here both times. This is probably the best hotel to stay at when one is in Santa Monica. They have amazing service, spacious and clean suites, an onsite restaurant and bar that is very good, and a rooftop bar that has beautiful views of the ocean and where we enjoyed sunsets with good cocktails.
