Malibu Hills Spanish style Casa Mountain Views!

Relax & recharge at at Casa de Malibu. Our spacious Spanish style home boasts over 3400 sf of space. Three large bedrooms each with en-suite bathrooms. Our casa features an open floor plan and is nestled at the top of the canyon in the Malibu hills. Two of bedrooms open to balconies where we have hammocks waiting for you. We are just a few miles drive to some of Malibu's best beaches. We are also very close to iconic hiking spots. We are approximately 4 miles from Pepperdine University.
The space
Casa de Malibu is a 3400-sf home located up in the Malibu hills. This large Spanish style home has three large private bedrooms each including en-suite bathrooms which makes this home perfect for an adult couple getaway

Our home is situated on top of the mountain where amazing sunrises & sunsets can be admired.

We enjoy hosting guests and prefer to give our guests privacy & space to enjoy this beautiful coastal area. If you're wanting to escape the city and relax in the Malibu Hills with amazing views of the surrounding mountains look no further.

There are three bedrooms and three en suite bathrooms. Each bedroom is located on a different level of the home our home and property have several sets of stairs. Bedroom one & two both have King beds. Bedroom three is set up with two queen beds.

Our kitchen includes a refrigerator, filtered water & ice maker, toaster, coffee pot, coffee grinder, French press, tea kettle, microwave, gas stove & single oven, & dishwasher. Our kitchen is equipped with a variety of spices & kitchenware needed to prepare & cook meals. Our dining area includes a large dining table with views of the Malibu Hills. We offer WIFI as phone reception can be limited up in the Malibu Hills. Our Casa also offers 4 smart TV's. One in each bedroom & one in the Livingroom. The Casa does have a central AC/ heat & bedrooms have ceiling fans available for guests. The top floor has an additional window AC.

Parking is available for guests on the left side of the driveway staying at the Casa. We can only accommodate two standard size vehicles our driveway space. Please do not park on the right side at any time. There is no street parking available.

Only registered guests are permitted on the property and in the Casa. We do not allow additional visitors or unregistered people at our home.

Please note **Outdoor motion video & audio Surveillance cameras on property recording 24/7**

Our property has neighbors we ask that you please be kind to them and respect quiet times 9:30pm - 7:00 am. No parties or events, loud music, loud noise. Guest will be responsible for any fines caused by not following the neighborhood ordinance.

Our property is NON smoking of any kind inside & out.

We do Not allow any pets.

Casa de Malibu is completely private inside. There is a separate private guest Casita on the property below the main home that may be occupied by your host or other guests at times. We ask for privacy of the below unit. Please do not wander into the garden & Casita space below as this is occupied by your host and or other guests. We do share a driveway and one set of outdoor stairs that lead from the driveway to the Casa where you will be staying.

Departure instructions will be sent through the booking platform a day or so prior to departure. Our housekeepers work really hard to give each guest the best stay. Additional fees due to damage or ignored house rules will result in additional charges. Additional fees/charges will be determined by the host. The casa is on a septic tank. It will clog if products/items other than toilet paper are placed down the drain. We ask that dishes be rinsed and placed in the dishwasher at departure. Please turn off any heat/fans and lock all doors & window when you depart.

The waste management & recycling companies pick up every Monday. To prevent unwanted wildlife/pests please ensure all garbage is removed from the casita regularly and placed in the garbage appropriate container at the bottom of the driveway.

We have a weekly landscaper that cleans/services the grounds weekly on Wednesdays.

Our propane tank is also filled at random by the propane servicing company. Our utility company may decide to turn off the electric/utilities due to fire concerns or other unknown reasons with little or no notice. We have flashlights available in the event that the power is temporarily turned off.

Guests do not have access to the locked storage closet in the hallway. Guests do not have access to the casita home or balcony below the casa. Owner or other guests live on property. Our goal is to provide you the most relaxing stay possible. Please note that if our home rules are not followed or ignored guest may be asked to vacate the property without refund and will be charged for any damages and disturbances.

Guests will have access to the balcony associated with the guest bedrooms & additional garden area in the front of the property that has canyon & ocean views.

This is a smoke-free property. No smoking inside the casa or anywhere on the property. Violation of the non-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit and make the guest liable for any fire or property damage costs.

We do not allow any pets on the property. Violation of our no pet policy will result in a termination of your stay without refund and forfeiture of security deposit.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors we have quiet hours from (9:30 pm to 7 am). We do not allow any loud music or loud noise, events, gatherings, parties at any time. Violations of noise will result in fines up to $1000.00 and termination of your stay without refund. Only registered guests allowed on the property. No unapproved visitors allowed.

Our Spanish style Casa is nestled on the side of a canyon is the Malibu Hills. Since our home is in the mountains where wildlife lives, please be cautious of deer, fox, racoons, squirrel's, bunnies, skunks, coyotes, opossums, birds, ants, spiders, mosquitos, snakes, flies and other wildlife & insects that may visit the property. Sometimes we are even visited by a pandemonium of beautiful parrots.

We are located approximately 4 miles from PCH & Pepperdine University. Please note to get to the property you will drive up/down a winding canyon road.

There is an owners closet in the hallway is not accessible to guests. Please note the entire home is not available for guests unless booked. Guests will have access to the Casa above the casita and garden in front of the casita. (No guest access to the Casita space below the Casa).

Since our casita is under your main in living space, we ask that you please be mindful of making loud noises above. You may hear noise such as talking & walking from below & possible noise from the garage door opening. Other than that disclaimer our home is beautiful & peaceful, has amazing views and we can’t wait to share our space with you
Guest access
Vehicles in the area are essential. Parking available on the left side of the driveway only. Max 2 standard size vehicles. Guests do not have access to one locked housekeeping supply closet in the hallway. Guest do not have access to burn fires in the fireplace. Guests have access to the 3 floors in the main casa. Outdoor space includes the balconies that are attached to the casa bedrooms, outdoor patio/dining table and space in the back of the house.
The space in the front is for your hosts or guests staying at the casita below.
Other things to note
The vacant piece of land/lot next door to our home is not ours. Please do not trespass on this empty lot that does not belong to us.

Our Spanish style home is older and not state of the art it has a lot of character and with that comes its own quirks. We hope you enjoy its character as much as we do.

Our home is rather large, and you may notice different room temperatures in each room. We do have ceiling fans in the bedrooms and a standalone fan that can be used to cool the home if needed. Closing the blinds in the rooms helps to keep the rooms cool.

Our neighbors are rebuilding a home lost in the 2018 fire at times construction noise and vehicles may be seen/ heard. Unfortunately, we have no control over
this.

Recording Motion video monitoring devices 24/7 on property for our security and yours. Located in driveway, facing the third flight of stairs, and outdoor walkway on side of house. Tampering with devices will result in termination of your stay without refund.
