My family and I stayed at Canemount because my daughter was graduating from Alcorn University. This B&B was a gem in prime location with amazing owners. Diane was very accommodating, helpful and a wealth of nearby location information. The home cooked breakfast hit the spot daily. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Lorman, MS.

Beautiful Historic Inn
Our first time staying in a bed and breakfast and it was amazing. This Beautiful historic Inn is a hidden gem. The accommodations were perfect and the hosts were very knowledgeable about the history of the property and this area.

The property itself is full of history and elegance. Each cabin had its own rest spot, furnished patios, intimate porches, and the Ms. Diane is Grace infused. Planning a trip back very soon

Southern charm.
The stay here was everything we had hoped for. The grounds are beautiful. The room was large but cozy, immaculate, and beautifully decorated with antiques. They even provided a small step to help someone with short legs to get in and out of a huge four-post bed. The proprietors were extremely nice and the breakfast was top-notch. All-in-all, a charming, tranquil get-a-way.

Jim and Diane were the nicest people! Very polite and easy-going. The breakfasts that they served were phenomenal! We were provided ample, interesting information of the homes and plantation as a whole and they were very attentive with everyone given the Covid situation. The grounds were immaculate and we even purchased some great balsamic vinegar from them! 6/5 would for sure visit again!

My husband and I agree that we like everything about Canemount Plantation Inn. It may be off the beaten track for some, but that made it perfect for us. Our room was very large (in the coach house) close to the main house. I fell in love with the fireplace and cozy seating area, the ideal spot to read, eat some chocolate and have a warm beverage. Great huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub. The owners think of everything. Real creamer for the coffee maker, water bottles in fridge, even ice in the freezer, snacks, real mugs and glasses, plenty of thick towels, like I said, they are thoughtful owners. We learned a great deal about the property and surrounding area, had a scrumptious breakfast made-to-order, slept like babies on a firm mattress, took loads of pictures, and were relaxed and ready for our drive home. We would definitely stay here again. Beautiful in the winter, but most likely gorgeous in spring and summer.

Historic Southern Experience
The plantation is beautiful and luxurious and it’s history is fascinating. The host is very gracious and generous in sharing information and resources about the local area. It is perfect for those interested in the history and character or the rural South. The amenities - bathtub, fireplace, elegant furniture, great breakfast - are wonderful too. So glad I chose to stay there and the cost is reasonable for what is provided.

I can not say enough good things about this inn!! It was STELLAR!! The property is an actual plantation. It is huge and truly as beautiful as the pictures show. The hostess gave us a full guided tour of the buildings. History Buffs will love this, she had names and photos of previous owners. Also the breakfast was delicious. We will ALWAYS stay there when we are in the area!
