Gorgeous cottage in a beautiful village
Sandpipers is a beautiful place to stay. It was neat and clean and had everything we needed. It is over 3 levels and the stairs are quite steep. The cottage is very central in the village. Peter sent clear instructions re getting the key and arranged a parking spot for the car. It was about 5-20 mins walk to the parking area.Looe is a very quaint fishing village with lots of interesting shops and a beautiful little harbour. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Sweet Sandpipers Cottage
Our stay at Sandpipers Cottage in Looe was excellent. Peter the Host is excellent to chat with, he answered all our questions. It is a cute 3 story cottage in a perfect location to explore Looe and all of Cornwall, with great Bus, Train connections. We walked along the South West Coastal Trail to neighbouring villages. Many shops and grocery stores nearby and 5 cake/pie shops. We cooked in the cottage with a fully equipped kitchen. But also eat out at wonderful restaurants and pubs. Happy place
Looe is my happy place. The cottage was a standard fisherman's cottage and was clean, well kept and had all the things you need. Only down side is the stairs which even for able bodied people are difficult at times (carrying cups of tea) however that was advised so it is still a 5/5 from us.

Ideal location for both the beach and the town!
Well furnished cottage exceeded our needs for the week. Outside area was a blessing with the warm weather this week, ideal to watch the world go by with a favourite tipple!

Sandpipers is situated in a quiet back road of Looe.It is within easy walking distance of the beach and the lovely Salutation Inn. The cottage is lovely and comfortable with everything you need. As we are an older couple we did find the stairs slightly hard to navigate after a day of walking. Would lovecto return in the future.

Charmingly compact

Cozy Cottage
Like others we had difficulty finding luggage drop of point but was us not the instructions. Set over three floors everything was provided for our stay. Auto lights at top of each set of stairs really useful. Parking was easy to find and easy walk back through the town, approx 10mins. Location to town, restaurants, takeaway's and beach was ideal for our stay and once in the cottage was warm and cozy.

Loved the location in the centre of the town very close to pubs, shops and restaurants, and handy for the beach and coastal walks. The property had everything you could want for your stay and was very comfortable. The steep stairs could potentially be a problem for the less mobile.

Perfect property in great lication
This was our second stay. The cottage is lovely. Immaculately clean and very well equipped. Cannot fault it. The location is great and within easy walking distance of beach, town and coastal paths. Would thoroughly recommend.

great location
Right in center of town but still quiet. Not too many people peering in the window. It did take a bit to find , but happy after all. Maybe a new mattress would be good, a bit worn. I did want to stay an extra night but the manager didn't get back to me.

Charming Cottage
Had a fantastic 5 night stay at Sandpipers. Lovely quirky cottage that had everything you would need for a weeks holiday. Very comfortable bed that made for a great nights sleep. cleanest holiday rental we've ever stayed in

Great location next to the beach
On arrival, it was quite hard to locate the property. Once found pretty from the outside and quite small from the inside but for a holiday let its ideal. Downside, no washing or dishwasher. Overall not a bad property and great location next to the beach.

Great family house in convenient and lovely central location
A fully functional clean house in central location convenient for harbour side activities, local beaches, shops and restaurants. This has it all but in quiet backstreet for a peaceful end of day. We stayed 6 or 7 times now and will be back again.

the stairs are very bad wife fell down three times the last step going up is only 4 inch es wide it is shocking the way it is ben buit we came home early because she hurt her knee and ankle on the stairs NEVER AGAIN

Lovely little Cottage
This was a lovely place to stay, central Looe, but very quiet. Everything that was needed was there at the cottage, really home from home. The Cottage was extremely clean, well furnished, bright and cosy. There are three floors, kitchen dining area, lounge and wet room and bedrooms, rooms are small but cosy and comfortable. Just a few minutes to beach and also to the lovely little town and restuarants, which are both gorgeous. The host was extremely helpful and was very prompt with his replies. We had a wonderful time at Sandpipers and hopefully will return in the future.

Lovely Looe

Perfect break
Lovely quirky house on 3 levels, yes the stairs are a little steep but after a couple of times up and down they aren't so bad, lovely comfy cosy place, everything you need, lovely little bench outside which was nice to use in the morning with our morning coffee the house is close to all the restaurants and pubs, there is a fab little place called "The Coffee Shop" just in the next street which makes the best breakfast which is cooked fresh on the premises and well worth the money and time you wait, the people in Looe are so friendly and make you feel so welcome including your four legged friends, we would certainly stay at Sandpipers again. Peter the host gets back to you quick when you have any issues which we only had one and that was the last letter on the wifi code 🙈 but Peter answered us back and it was sorted, we would highly reccommend Sandpipers for a lovely peaceful break

Great beach stay

Short break at Sandpipers
This is our 3rd stay at Sandpipers. Cottage was clean and comfortable. Location is superb for beach, town, bars/restaurants. The addition of reserved parking at Millpool car park was a bonus. Had a lovely 5 night break yet again 😊

Quirky -
Clean , warm well equipped kitchen . However for us it was just abit too small - unfortunately we had to sleep separately as the main bedroom bed was not a full size Double ( I believe it’s a 4ft bed ) .. But a great base for exploring Looe and the surrounding areas - Once we navagated the quirky lay out it was fine - very much a traditional Fisherman cottage - charming full of character - Perfect location - Thanks

The layout in these old cottages is very quirky & we've tried to make best use of the available space. Everything was spot on, we had everything we needed. Only downside was we had a knock at the door just before 10am to be told check out was 9am, despite it stating 10am on two emails. Despite that small issue; no other problems.

Little gem
Lovely 3-night stay in this quaint tiny cottage, tucked away in the little streets near Looe beach. Combines lots of character with comfort, taste and style, and a perfect location. I would have given 5 stars throughout except that I had to sweep the floor on arrival (everything else was spotless). Highly recommend.

petite and quirky cottage
five mins to the beach area and once you've negotiated all the twists and turns around the cottage, you'll be fine. the cottage itself is ok and we were just about fine with three adults and one child. take care with banging your head and twisty stairs. the cottage has everything you need bar a dishwasher and washing machine. and don't try to drive near the property as you'll be consumed by all the day trippers

Always great
As a multi returner to this property, is was as always, great. Clean, fully equipment, good wifi and most convenient location for absolutely everything. Had a bit of new decorations from our visit last year which is great and modernised the property to keep it fresh. Thanks again, we will return.

Schöne Unterkunft zentral in Looe
Zunächst einmal - auch wenn es immer Punkte der Kritik gibt, war insgesamt alles gut. Der Schlüssel war in der geicherten Box und man betritt ein schönes Erdgeschoss mit kleiner Küche inklusive Backofen, Herd und Mikrowelle und einem netten Sitzplatz für vier Personen. Draußen kann man vor der Tür auf der im Inserat gezeigten Bank und zwei Stühlen sitzen, allerdings sitzt man dann sozusagen auf der (nicht befahrenen) Straße. Uns hat es nicht gestört, die Nachbarn haben immer nett gegrüßt. Im ersten Stock, der nur erreichbar ist, wenn man 100% mobil ist (sehr steile Treppe), sind Wohnzimmer und Bad. Die bauliche Situation ist bei einem alten Stadthaus absolut nicht zu ändern und war für uns auch völlig unproblematisch. Das Bad ist recht klein und die Dusche, wie in vielen Unterkünften in England, winzig. Wenn eine Person duscht, steht der gesamte Raum unter Wasser. Also - nacheinander das Bad nutzen, was ja problemlos machbar sein sollte. Nutzt man alle vier Betten mit vier Personen, kann das logistisch sicher schwierig werden, wir waren zu zweit. Wasser kommt problemlos in gewünschter Temperatur, was ja auch nicht überall und immer der Fall ist. Im zweiten Stock kommt dann unser Problemfall. Offenbar versteht der Engländer unter einem Doppelbett etwas anderes als der Deutsche. Das war uns nicht bekannt, sodass wir uns schon über ein Bett gewundert haben, welches schmaler als ein deutsches Queensize-Bett war. Wer mit zwei Personen also nicht gerne auf ca. 1,3 m breiter Matratze schläft, könnte hier dieselben Schlafprobleme bekommen wie wir sie hatten. Wie gesagt, das ist vermutlich ein Kommunikationsproblem, man sollte es aber vielleicht doch bei der Buchung auch für den England-Neuling etwas besser erkennbar machen. Das Foto im Inserat ist im Nachhinein absolut korrekt, aufgrund des notwendigen Weitwinkelobjektivs haben wir das Bettenproblem leider nicht erkannt. Das Haus liegt absolut zentral und (abgesehen vom allgegenwärtigen Mövenlärm) trotzdem sehr ruhig. Die Möven gehören aber nun einmal dazu, sodass das natürlich kein Kritikpunkt ist. Wer keine Möven mag, fährt eben in die Berge :-) Insgesamt bis auf die Bettensituation ein sehr schönes Häuschen in guter Lage für einen schönen Urlaub.

Beautiful cottage
Superb little cottage. Fabulous long weekend away with the family, in this traditional fisherman’s cottage presented with all mod cons, clean and well equipped, the wet room a glorious surprise, a stones throw from the beach and pedestrianised high street. Parking a bit further than expected and the stairs a little steeper - thank goodness for my favourite son in law!!

Great central position and very close to harbour and beach. Many bars and restaurants that are only minutes walking distance. Property is a well apointed bijou traditional fishermans cottage situated in the central narrow streets of Looe.

A cheeky few days away
This is the second time we stayed at Sandpipers Cottage. The cottage has had a refurbishment since our last stay. New wet room/bathroom and new carpets throughout and it had been freshly painted. No complaints whatsoever. The cottage was very clean. Location to the beach, shops, bars, restaurants is fab. Looking forward to next time 😄

Looe Stay - April 2022
Myself and my partner were here through a 5 day stay in April 2022. We felt fully accommodated and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandpipers. It was clean, modern and comfortable. Great location within the heart of Looe, we walked to every pub and restaurant that we visited; everything is on your doorstep. Would definitely recommend!

lovely relaxing break
This was a five day break for my wife and I over the Christmas break. The cottage was all we expected. Everything provided for stay. Perfect location for all local amenities .Found the stairs a bit of a problem, we're both in our mid 70s with joint problems but it was well worth it as we were aware of this when booking. We will definitely return if able.

Fantastic
We had a great stay, was a fantastic location, close to beach, shops, restaurants. A tip would be book restaurants before arrival. Our teen kids loved it. Would recommend.

Fantastic week in Looe
Just returned from a 6 day stay in this lovely cottage. The location couldn't be better. Cottage was clean and well equipped. No complaints and hope to revisit this little gem.
