New Year's with family
It's a lovely house with everything needed for a great and cozy stay. Larry is very prompt to answer and absolutely courteous. We had a nice and cozy, very much needed, family time during this challenging time.

So relaxing!
The location of the cabin can't be beat. Area is very peaceful and the lake in the park gave us several hours of fun. The cabin itself has a fully stocked kitchen, many sleeping options, and a variety of games to keep us entertained. We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the entire cabin. The owner was very easy to contact and easy to work with prior to our stay. He also was available during our stay if any questions came up. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean clean great place to get away!
Larry was very helpful and always responded to any questions quickly. The cabin was great for a weekend get away. Everything in working condition. Beds were very comfortable. We enjoying boating on Pinecrest lake and lake Melones and hiking at Lyons dam nearby. Perfect for a Socially distance weekend. Thank you Larry

Amazing cabin in Long Barn near Pinecrest Lake
Larry went out of his way to make sure that my family and I were comfortable and accommodated during our stay at his family’s cabin. Upon getting to the site, he greeted us right away and was friendly and warm right from the get-go. Once we got inside, he checked in on us to make sure that everything we needed was there. The cabin was cozy, inviting, clean and perfect for what our family wanted, which was a relaxing get away for a few days. The views are gorgeous and the community feels very much like your own home community. Once we checked out, Larry again checked in with us to see how our stay was. I can’t recommend his cabin enough. If you’re looking for a great little vacation spot, look no further!

Summer Stay
After booking the cabin we were notified by the owner that we had to stop in Oakdale to pick up the keys, adding another 30+ minutes to our route. When entering the cabin, there were many spider webs and dust everywhere. The appliances were all quite aged especially the refrigerator which could not hold all the food for a family. The microwave was quite dirty. We ended up with black dog hair on all of our clothing and blankets. We had issues with a breaker popping frequently when running the A/C. 2 of the nights the smoke alarm/ carbon monoxide alarms woke everyone up due to low batteries. The living room was cozy and the kids enjoyed the dvd collection, games and the loft. We enjoyed the location as it was close to Pinecrest. Overall not up to my standards of cleanliness especially for the price and fees charged.

This is the first guest we've ever had damage two items in our property and then fail to notify us. There was a nominal charge for those items. Afterwards, I had a feeling that this result in a negative and petty review. I was right. The main thing many quests compliment us on how clean we keep our property. The batteries in the carbon monoxide detector have been replaced. The refrigerator is a vintage model that we love. There is a second fridge outside, as stated in the VRBO ad. The range is new and was replaced two years ago. The toaster is new. The coffee maker is a few years old, but works well. The cabin was also completely rewired two years ago and is up to current county code. All is fine with the electrical. It is clearly stated in our ad that keys must be picked up in Oakdale, unless other arrangements are made in advance - I am sorry you failed to read the listing completely. Lastly, I noticed dog hair on the pillow they damaged and asked if they brought a dog, things got awkward as we do not own a dog.

Quiet, peaceful and fun!
We spent 2 nights in Larry's cabin and had a great time! The cozy kitchen was well stocked with all the tools for us to cook at the cabin. The beds were comfy, the living room brought us all together. I love that the cabins were well spaced apart so you didn't feel like you're on top of the neighbors. :) Short drive Gooseberry snow park for the kids. Also a short drive to Dodge Ridge where we went snowshoeing for free. Can't wait to do it again!

We really enjoyed having Zsuzsa as our guest. We do our best to provide for all of the needs of our guests by having various utensils and conveniences. We own the lot next to our cabin and keep it as open space for us and our guests. Our beds are newer and we provide plenty of pillows and blankets. We hope to see you again soon!

Great place for a relaxing stay
Our family really enjoyed our stay at this cabin in the Sierra foothills. It is in a safe, secure community and is close to Dodge Ridge ski resort... which was our daily objective. The cabin is kept super clean and the kitchen is well stocked with all the equipment you need for meal making. The beds were comfy and there are ample pillows and blankets. We took advantage of the great collection of games and enjoyed the beauty and peace of the forest surroundings. Larry was great to work with. He is organized and was clear and timely with his communication. Additionally... I accidentally left my wallet in the cabin after we checked out. Larry and Wendy were very helpful in securing it and getting it back to me in a timely manner. Very professional. Thank you again!

Good location for ski and beautiful view
The house is in a beautiful resort area with trees, lake and kids play ground. Larry is very nice and helpful to introduce the ski resort close to the cabinet .We had a great time to visit the ski resorts which is about 10-30 minutes drive. It is also not far from the restaurants and shopping area. Safeway is about 20 minutes drive for good quality food. We plan to be back during the summer again for hiking and swimming.

Great cabin. Great location.
This cabin was great! My wife and I took our 3 little ones (5, 3, 1) to this cabin for a winter vacation. It was a great place for our family! It’s close to Dodge Ridge and Leland’s Snowplay (our snow-sport staples). The cabin is a good size for this area and it is super clean and cozy. Larry was a terrific host, and the cabin was well stocked with toys, dvds, and games. Just the right kind of entertainment for kids after a day out in the snow. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to vacation up in this area!
