I really like this hotel. The personnel are kind, the rooms are comfortable, and the stay is overall very pleasant. I particularly appreciate the free tea and coffee, as well as the DVDs to borrow. My only complaint would be that the windows are not very thick, so you can often hear everything going on at night (I would recommend bringing earplugs, especially if you are a light sleeper).

Kind and helpful personnel. Rooms can be a bit small, but they are comfortable and have everything you need. Excellent value for money. I really like this hotel and highly recommend it.

Hotel atypique très accueillant
Le personnel était génial, l'hotel aussi beau qu'intriguant. Quartier actif de jour et de nuit mais aucune station de metro à proximité ( ce n'est pas un problème car beaucoup de bus) . Le séjour s'est très bien passé, je recommande fortement !

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel 2 nuits, nous avons adoré la décoration, le lit était très confortable, les petites attentions bien appréciées, la salle de bain est commune à l étage mais cela n'a pas été dérangeant. Au niveau des transports métro et bus jusqu'à l'hôtel en une demi heure le centre-ville est accessible. A recommander chaudement.

Excellent choice!
A very nice little hotel. The decoration of the rooms is beautiful. Ours was a deep blue with very nice white-painted woody furniture, while the bathroom was decorated in a Moroccan style. Doors are a shiny dark wood and have big old-fashioned nails on the outside, making them look like in the middle-ages. There are heavy carpets in the corridors and stairs, creating a very cosy atmosphere. There's a lounge where you can enjoy time together while drinking free coffee or tea. The lounge also provides £1 pastries and lots of alcohols and a shaker if you want to make cocktails. Nobody's there to charge you, it's up to you to put your name and the amount you owe down on a notebook for later payment at check-out. There are also lots of DVDs to borrow for free, as every room is equiped with a DVD-player. On the drawbacks side, well, the Camberwell Church Street road is very noisy so if your room is on its side you'd better close the windows at night (they're soundproof and there's air conditioning in the room), and also, if you are above the restaurant, there might be cuisine odors at some time. The walls are pretty thin too. But these drawbacks feel rather like the little annoying habits of a beloved relative: they don't count because the rest is so awesome. We had the best stay there, the hotel is very beautiful and clean and the staff people are all very nice. There's a restaurant downstairs where you can have breakfast for a reasonable price. The hotel is only accessible by bus but it sits on a large number of bus routes and you will have no trouble to go to any part of the city from there, especially by the bus 12. In short, a very enjoyable stay and I'd recommend this hotel to anybody.

Günstiges Hotel mit südamerikanischem Flair. Rustikal und sehr verschachtelt, aber mit Charme. Zimmer waren leider sehr beengt, man hatte kaum Platz für einen kleinen Trolley. Fenster zu einer anderen Hauswand. Nichts für Leute mit Platzangst. Für 1-2 Übernachtungen ok.

Reason to stay! was that my wife wants to be near K C HOSPITAL due to my hart surgery soon! So thought we try as i had a collection of appointments over night, we live on cost near Hythe. So we was rather daunted with thought of starting around Camberwell! BUT WAS DELIGHTED felt Safe! As it was very busy it was a Friday night stay! Lot's of places open! Also walking from the Hospital was comfortable felt Safe in many ways. The Hotel was very nice! But really noisy outside on that night, my wife has hearing aids so no problem.

First of all, it was a long ways downtown. The hotel was very hard to find, even for the taxi driver. The hotel did not have an elevator and we had to take four large suitcases up 3 flights of very narrow winding stairs. They had a breakfast room with continental breakfast items. This room is on the "honor" system, which someone had put items on our ticket that we did not order. The hotel did take it off. We tried to get to the tour station, but no one seemed to know how to get there. Gave us directions that lead us on a wild goose chase. It was not practical for what we came there to do. The area was run down, not what I expected of London.

Our room is cozy, spacious and clean! Beddings are clean and crispy. Mattress is so soft and comfy. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Hearty and nutritious breakfast available every morning. The location is convenient. 7 stops by bus 436 or 36 from tube station (Oval), with loads of great pubs and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Not quite noisy at night even we slept with the window open. Totally safe and chill to take a walk at night. Easy to get around by buses. Will definitely stay there again next time we visit London! (Do bring your own slippers and toothbrush though)

Great location , helpful and professional staff. Everywhere lovely and clean . Single room very small but perfectly ok for a one night stay. Unfortunately my room smelt strongly of stale fried food which was unpleasant and took ages to lessen . No kettle in room (despite being listed) but they have a nice communal kitchen where you can make a drink , just not in your room.

Swindlers! I booked and paid for a room with two beds (deluxe double) which clearly stated "two double beds" and even included a picture of two beds in the room. However when I arrived I was given a room with a single bed and I was informed that other than the "family room", the hotel does not have rooms with two beds. I was not offered any compensation or 'freebie' or other benefit. Banging doors, including at night, resonated very loudly in my room, while the noise from the busy high street right outside my bedroom was intolerable. The only thing going for this place that I noticed is a decent breakfast for only £8.

I would firstly like to point out that the room you had been located was a Deluxe King Ensuite, furnished with one king size bed (not a single as you have stated). I must also inform you that we had located you correctly as per the reservation we had received from the agency.To our horror we had discovered that room descriptions being listed on particular OTA'S was not of a true identity to the rooms we have at our property, some of which were offering an extra bed. I must clarify that was not in any way an error on our side and following this discovery I have spent a lot of time liaising back and fourth with partners to rectify these mistakes immediately. I can absolutely understand and relate to your frustrations here, if you believe you are paying for a particular facility you would of course expect to receive it. My team work incredibly very hard to ensure guest satisfaction so as I'm sure you could also understand our disappointment, errors such as these are very damaging to our brand and reputationI would like to mention that the price you had payed for your stay was correct in relation to the room you had occupied. (No overcharges there)I would strongly advise that you do follow this up with the correct party. Noisy but good WiFi
It's not a great hotel if you care about sleep, the rooms are noisy both due to being in front of a busy street and due to poor noise insulation that makes you hear other people in the hotel walking upstairs, talking etc. The ensuite deluxe room is relatively comfortable but I would just call it a basic room, it's deluxe only compared to the rest of the rooms. Try to check-in early because after some time I didn't see anyone in the reception. The WiFi was really good though.
