Pack your bags and move right into this modern cabin inspired by Nordic simplicity. Architecturally unique, Black Diamond is an ideal immersive experience in the heart of the Finger Lakes. You'll find this gem located on a private road at the base of a working vineyard within an old growth hemlock forest on the eastern shore of Seneca Lake.

Inside, the soaring asymmetrical ceilings offer an unimpeded view of the lake and the surrounding forest including a full wall of windows facing west to capture those famous Seneca Lake sunsets.

Looking to escape from the hustle and bustle? Black Diamond offers privacy with only one near neighbor to the north and the expanse of the Finger Lakes National Forest to the South. The first level has an open floor plan with a galley kitchen equipped with a stainless-steel appliance suite, quartz counter tops and everything you need for your stay. The kitchen/dining/living area opens onto a large wrap around deck with sweeping views of the lake, comfy outdoor lounge seating, propane grill and hot tub.

Black Diamond sleeps up to four people with an enclosed first floor bedroom and expansive loft level that includes both sleeping and reading/lounge areas with a bird's eye view of the lake. The bathroom is on the first level with a large walk-in shower and heated flooring.

For the nature lovers; Eagles, Osprey, Herons and many other birds that call the lake home nest nearby. At times, enjoy watching these wonderful lake loving animals fly right by the window wall, or overhead of the decks. The private lakefront at Black Diamond provides a secluded cove-like shoreline with the National Forest as a buffer. At the lake you will find seating for four and two kayaks for your personal enjoyment.

Proving to be an ideal couple's retreat; book your getaway and host friends for part of your stay saving a few days for yourself. No one will ever know you snagged those extra days of quiet bliss! A small fire pit is provided on the lakefront for taking in the sights and sounds of the lake, while warming up next to a modest fire. Fire wood is not provided- please only use local firewood, which can be purchased at many roadside stands and gas stations.

The road to Black Diamond navigates through a working vineyard, and then becomes a single lane, dirt road with steep twists and turns. It is strongly recommended to have AWD or 4WD vehicles to navigate these roads. A private garage offering space for 2 standard size vehicles with height less than 7 feet tall is available for use. If your vehicle is oversized, or too tall, it's requested you park alongside the driveway.

**Due to owner and guest feedback during the 2024 rental season, this home has been updated with a new complete water filtration system for the 2025 rental season!

Occupancy: This property is closely monitored for responsible renting. The maximum occupancy of each home is the number of guests allowed on the premises at any given time. This includes both day and overnight guests.

1. Smoking is not allowed in any rental property. This includes vaping and e-cigarettes.
2. Homes are not handicap accessible, unless stated in the description.
3. Air conditioning is not available unless listed as an amenity. If available, air conditioning is considered a seasonal amenity and is only available May 15 - October 15.
4. Where pets are allowed it is indicated. Otherwise, pets are not allowed. Homes are not guaranteed allergen-free, even those that do not allow pets.
5. Docking capabilities may vary based on current water levels. Docking is not guaranteed if water levels are low and/or high due to seasonal weather and climate changes.
6. Outdoor amenities, including furniture, watercraft and firepit are not available between October 15 - May 15.
