Chambre spacieuse
Nuit étape à Llangollen. L'hotel est bien placé. La chambre, dans une maison ancienne,était bien décorée et rénovée mais comme elle était en rdc, on entendait les déplacements des clients du premier étage. Notre plancher grinçait également beaucoup !

Lovely hotel
Nice hotel, room was lovely and very clean though very noisy in the street until pretty late. Welsh breakfast was gorgeous! The car park was full so had to park elsewhere!

Disorganised. They understandably advised us that the check out was changed from 11 to 10am but omitted to tell us that breakfast did not start at 7.30 as advertised in the room but was 9am

e windows rattled with the wind in room 12 which is over the front shop side where you can listen to people go by in the street. Did ask for a quiet room so was moved to this one rather than be in one that is over the pub side of the building. Parking is tricky with a very narrow entrance through the archway but at least you are off the road.

We were a party of 8 each couple staying in a double room. Very comfy bed. Great sized room. Excellent location. The bar had a fantastic selection of gins and beers. We will definately stay again.

A very nice hotel with attentive staff. The food quality was very good. The only thing that was a problem was very low water pressure when the shower was run at warm temperature.

The room was so comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent stay, definitely recommend to my friends and family.

Property was a bit dirty and in a poor state of repair, I didn’t bother with a shower as there was black mould in the corners and the shower head was half hanging off. The people are lovely there, but the rooms were just not my cup of tea

This gorgeous find is very under rated! The quirkinesses of the buildings, the friendliness of the owners and where to start on the wines and snack boards?? Andrew is very knowledgable on his wines, all very reasonably priced! Ours was a one night stay to chill but we’ll definitely be back for a longer visit soon! 5 star+

Quirky, well looked after, in fantastic location
Moments walk from bridge in Llangollen. Parking a bit tight but a few spaces. Old building so narrow stairs and low doors, but beautifully furnished and comfortable room. Some noise from outside as bar etc but not crazy. Liked the little carafe of wine with the teabags etc!

Lovely old fashioned hotel, fantastic area very polite and helpful, small area for parking at rear of hotel lovely little bits added in the room hairdryer, variety of tea and coffee. On a one way road so not alot of traffic passing.

I have stayed at Gales twice before in the past and loved it, however there was a fair amount of old dust settled on the bathroom blinds and elsewhere, for early in the season I thought that this was a poor show. Breakfast was a serious disappointment with pre packaged items and otherwise what seemed to be leftovers from the weekend. My stay was ok but would not bring me back, sorry.

Lovely people who runs this property and the room is one of the nicest of all those we’ve stayed in Llangollen - spacious, nice bathroom and lovely touches like the drop of port for a nightcap. We’ll definitely be retuning here.

Disappointing and not as described
Check-in published as 1.30 but told 2pm. Check-out published as 11am but again told 10am. The room was cold (slept in thermals) heating broken(?) or switched off. Room faced onto car-park and fire escape where staff took breaks and could see directly into room, meaning curtains had to be closed. Rooms "secured" by a flimsy yale lock not ideal for a solo traveller. Llangollen is beautiful and would recommend as a location but not the accomodation.

Quirky, characterful old coaching inn.
Quirky and full of old character, the Gales of Llangollen was a great choice. A huge and varied continental breakfast is included, or you can add cooked items for a fee. Staff are all friendly and helpful, and make the place like home. Rooms are large, comfy and have big mugs for a hearty brew. The restaurant / wine bar is a great choice for an evening meal, serving a French / European menu in the main.
