Receptionists were very polite as was the security staff. The rooms are old, not updated, old tub shower a/c controls antiquated.

This hotel was one of the most expensive in the are. For 3 guests in a two queen bed room, It had one big and one small towel. One mini soap. One small blanket on each bed. The matresses were of a very poor quality and hard. The staff was nice but overworked. 6:00am to 10:00 am. The water in the pool was dirty. I would not remommend this hotel to anyone

La limpieza y la atención al cliente. Todos muy profesionales y con mucha nobleza. Muchas gracias. Mi recámara muy cómoda y muy limpia. Muy relajante con vista a el río. Excelente aire acondicionado y la regadera del baño deliciosa. Lindo balcón con linda vista .

Nice views, poor venues.
Beautiful location with very nice views from the rooms and restaurant, but it feels outdated, the rooms are old, the bed is not comfortable and the rooms and bathroom need to be remodeled!

Thank you for your opinion. Sadly we are located in Rio Dulce which is not very well known out in the world, so we don´t have the amount of tourism we would like and what could support expenses to keep a well renew hotel every while and then. We sure know you enjoyed the weather and location of the hotel at rio dulce. Hope to see you soon.

Not what I expected for the price I paid
Rooms are BASIC The beds are super hard and the pillows are old . They don't offer coffe makers or bathroom supplies. Upon arrivel they count every glass, pillow, plastic hangers ( yeah hangers) in your room and tell you you are responsible if they go missing. Not what I expected for the amount of money we paid.

We stayed at Hotel Mansion de Rio because we wanted to be rested after flying from Los Angeles on the Red Eye . Our drive was over eight hours in the rain and was scarey. The Mansion De Rio was a very nice place on the river with nice grounds and a fun pool. The river is huge and full of life. Our room had a nice view of the river and the room was clean and we slept well after traveling 20 hours plus.

Boat trip to Livingston.
Our stay was very relaxing. The food service was a bit slow and had we not spoken Spanish, it would have been hard to communicate with the waiters even though they had English menus. (The couple with us didn't speak Spanish and even pointing to the menu, it was hard for the waiters to figure it out.) Te reception was very friendly and helpful getting a boat to go to Livingston.

No me quedare alli nuevamente
Mi estancia fue muy mal alli. Las sritas lo reciven a uno y hacen las cosas como que me estan haciendo un favor. Y no me estan haciendo un favor ya que ese es su trabajo. Les urge darles a TODOS una charla sobre servicio al cliente.

We were there on a work trip, so it was nice to have the restaurant on site. And the restaurant service and food was very good. We did have problems with the showers not draining, so by the end of your shower, you were up to your shins in water. Beautiful views of the river.

Good to start your boat trip to Livingston
Hotel Mansion del Rio is a bit out of ‘town’ and one would need its own transport to get there and away. This is ‘a grand’ property in terms of scale. The location is good to start your boat trip from Rio Dolce to the national park to Livingston (lago de Izabal). It has a private and secure car park. The outdoor restaurant (breakfast, lunch and dinner) has a nice view over the lake so had the room (with balcony) which we had and was on the second floor. Internet access is very limited and was at the time of staying only available in the reception and the open bar on the ground floor and the first floor in the same area. Although the hotel claims it is available access was intermitted! The hotel provides a lot of equipment to enjoy (peddalo’s, kayaks, and Mountain bikes), we were however not allowed to cycle outside the gate. The music around the swimming pool is probably great for teen-agers but far too loud for anybody else.

Great hotel for families!
Definitely family oriented with many activities to keep kids entertained. Huge game room with ping pong, fuss ball tables and other games. The staff was very warm and helpful. Very nice restaurant.

Es un hotel estupendo con todo comodidades e internet incluido. La piscina no es tan grande como sale en las fotos, pero es muy linda. El hotel está apartado de Río Dulce, pero junto al río con todas las comodidades del mismo. Si vas con carro la ubicación es perfecta.
