Décevant, une chaîne d’hôtel habituellement 👍
Chambre avec toute petite salle de bain où il est difficile d’être à deux. Mauvais insonorisation. Le retour des voisins à 2-3h du matin m’a réveillé tous les jours. La voisine qui fait l’amour pas très discrètement est un peu gênant. Bref, peut mieux faire. Le personnel d’accueil est froid et impersonnel. Le nettoyage n’est pas fait très consciencieusement à voir les traces de moisissures des joints de douche et les éclats de dentifrice contre le mur. Doit mieux faire.

I usually give places the benefit of the doubt however the room was over £100 for a single night so is being judged on that basis. I was expecting it to be basic and a bit tired as I know the hotel has been there for years so the issues below go beyond ageing decor etc. Unfortunately there were some minor issues with cleanliness and broken components. The towel rail and toilet roll holders were both broken, both of the mugs provided were dirty, one hadn’t been washed properly and the other had a hair in it. The kettle didn’t automatically switch off when it boiled and so the plastic handle heated up to the point I could only pick it up using a towel. I also found it in the cabinet with about an inch of stagnant water still in the bottom. There were also clear, and what looked to be fresh, stains on the carpet and at the foot of the bed. It looked like a spill from the previous occupant that hadn’t been cleaned properly. As I say, these were largely trivial issues and I don’t usually complain but I paid just over £100 for 1 night so was a bit disappointed. That said, the staff were very friendly and I’m sure they would have helped had I raised these issues at the time. In reality I didn’t actually spend much time in the room other than to sleep. The location for anyone not from Liverpool is ideal. It’s quiet at night but close to the pier head, shops and Albert dock. As I say, I would definitely recommend if it was cheaper or I didn’t encounter the few issues mentioned above.

Nice hotel, decent views. Friendly, helpful staff. Baths as well as showers. Nice reception and waiting area. Good amenities. Close to lots of places by foot and they offer you a map as well. Outside could do with a clean, facade and windows quite dirty but inside very clean. Mattress protector under sheet was very stained. Beds are very close together in twin room, basically a double room. Iron and ironing board, hair dryer and tea making facilities in room as well as shampoo, body and hand wash in bathroom.

The bedding was disgusting, the room was smelly like a hoover bag which needed changed,housekeeping not up to standard as didn’t empty bins & replenish supplies in the room. Did get a room change but the noise from other hotel guests was really bad & nothing done about it. I did complain but wasn’t offered any compensation. Will not stay at any Mercure hotel again and would not recommend it to any of my family or friends.

Everything was amazing experience except for the nosey couple next door in room 808 kept me and my son up till 5 am even after I told reception nothing was done had to drive to Cardiff the next day 4 hour drive with a toddler I wasn’t very happy at all

Hotel room was dated, windows dirty and condensated, the sofa bed for my 8yr old was like sleeping on metal springs. The breakfast was cold and sparse.

One of the worst hotels i have stayed in! Room was filthy, Curtains had holes in them . Around the toilet was disgusting. Booked a double bed ended up with two singles pushed together that where like sleeping on pine doors! Booked this hotel thinking it would be some what decent. I have stayed in cheaper hotels that have been much cleaner and comfortable.

Comfortable nice food clean
It’s in a nice location bathroom tiny hard to negotiate you couldn’t get dressed in there food in restaurant was nice had an inside room opposite office block very dark room no main light only lamps as it was a cloudy day had to draw curtains to have light on or office workers could see straight in room. View from bar terrace was very nice

A must stay
We had traveled up from Devon for 40th present to watch Liverpool play, the staff were welcoming on arrival, gave us clear instructions on where to park and local attraction when asked, instantly very helpful. Really clean and comfortable room but the view was sensational, see below for the view, it was so incredibly special it really set our time away up to be great. Breakfast in the morning (with slightly sore heads from being out to dinner the night before) was really passable not everything was available at one time there were lots of people so it stands to reason that things run out, but the staff were brilliant I only had to ask and they bought it out, there weren’t any fried eggs but in the second morning I ask for some and they bought them to our table strait out the kitchen, nothing was to much trouble. Liverpool is a fantastic city, loads to see and do, highly recommend!! We will defo come and stay here again,

I stayed for one night as a little getaway for me and my girlfriend. And the room was clean and tidy when I went in. After going for drinks I even woke up with a kebab in my room which I do not remember bringing back with me. Would stay again

We stayed two night, great location. Dave on reception was cheerful, helpful and very knowledgable re the hotel and the surrounding area. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was buffet style and nicely set out, cooked breakfast was lovely too.

Hotel run down but does the job
The staff are lovely, the hotel itself is a bit run down however they reflect that on the price. The mattresses are a bit or miss. Would I go back…. Yes if I’m going to watch Liverpool, it’s a 50 minute walk to Anfield.

Disappointed
Hotel is very out dated. Reception area is nice and modern but everything else is very old. The rooms are very small and crammed with furniture so gives you little room to move. The beds are the least comfortable I’ve ever slept in.

There was broken glass all over the outside bar area....We was told breakfast was till 10.30am, we went down at 9.50am and they were packing up.
