This home is beautiful, immaculately clean, big enough for large gatherings, with attention paid to the details that make you feel at home. It is walking distance to the Capitol and within a half block of a long display of beautiful artistic murals that show a desire for social justice and freedom. It is only a five minute drive to historic Central High School national park and a tad more to the Fine Arts Museum, both a must-see for out of towners. Highly recommended five star home away from home.

Very comfortable home
Thus home was perfect for our group that traveled for our grandson’s graduation from Harding University. The house was very clean, adequately described in listing, and Ruth made sure we had everything we needed. We were concerned about the location’s proximity to I-630 but it never bothered our sleep. We would definitely choose Ruth’s home again in the future!!

Eclipsed Our Expectations!
Yes, we stayed here for our trip to Little Rock for the eclipse, and I don’t think we could have found a more perfect place! The pictures do not do it justice. The outdoor space was outstanding. We were a little concerned about the proximity to the interstate, but the property is situated and landscaped to where the dead end location was beautiful and outstanding for outdoor gatherings (it was a perfect setup for boiling crawfish)! To say the inside was clean and wonderfully set up is an understatement! We spent an equal amount of time inside, too, because the house is perfectly set up to entertain! It is stocked so incredibly well, which was a fantastic surprise! We literally needed for nothing while we were there, including cookware and tableware. We have yet to stay in a VRBO that has the pots we need to cook something like a gumbo, but this kitchen blew us away with what it offers. With the exception of some random appliances you might have in your own kitchen, everything you might need is supplied. My 3 and 6-year old were even mind blown. They had an amazing time with the toys and books and wanted to move in to this house by the end of the trip. Kudos as well for the stellar selection of media entertainment! The owners’ considerations taken to ensure the property caters to any and all is the epitome of what a VRBO should be for its guests! Make this your first choice for a stay in Little Rock!!

Our overall experience was very good. The property was well represented. Very nice house and roomy enough for us all. The only problem was that we had ants in the kitchen both mornings when we woke up. It wasn’t just 2 or 3 ants it was a lot. So you might want to have an exterminator come out and spray.

Three generations stayed in this home, and we all loved it. It was especially nice to have two beds in one room so my grown sons could catch up on each other’s lives. The other downstairs bedroom worked great for my 90 year old mother, and my sister and I loved having the two upstairs bedrooms for a slumber party.

Another win for the yellow house
This is our third visit to the little yellow house. We keep returning because it just fits our family so well. It feels like a second home. Everything is nice and clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Great hosts!!!

Had Southern Sectionals Tennis Tournament at Burns Park. We had 6 ladies in our group and it was nice to have enough beds and bathrooms to handle our group. House was very clean and we enjoyed coming back to house and eating together and playing games. Fun weekend!

Great House!
My parents (in their 80s), my son 27, his girlfriend 25, my 16 year old, and myself stayed for a long weekend. The house was roomy and comfortable! There was something for everyone. Board games, a nice family room and large dining table. We noticed many toddler toys and even a nook upstairs with a toddler bed for those with young children. It was about a 10 minute drive to the shopping and restaurants. There was a bbq pit, a grill, and the yard was beautifully maintained and fenced in. The house was clean and in great shape. I emailed the owner one time with a question and heard back very quickly. Check in was a breeze. We would stay again.

Family gathering & Central High 65th Reunion
We cannot express enough how wonderful this home is. Starting with...A restored craftsman, what's not to love about that! We were so comfortable and the host really had everything there we needed. Kitchen was well equipped, each bathroom had shampoo/conditioner in it. Separate heating/AC for 2nd level was very much appreciated, both porches are amazing. One of the 1st floor bathrooms was ADA accessible for showering, which we needed for our mother. The house, overall, fostered an intimate visit for our family. Thank you so much!

Always a great place to stay.
This is our second time to stay here and we truly enjoy it. The house is super clean and has all the amenities you can think of and then some more. Beds are comfy and back yard is perfect for our dogs. Only downside is traffic noise from the nearby freeway but we used a white noise machine and that worked! We will come back again next year!!

Nice place to stay!
We were a group of 7 women staying in Little Rock for a tennis tournament. The house was perfect for our group and has a nice open floor plan for a group! The host was very good about responding. We just had one glitch that the propane bottle of the barbque pit was empty and I didn't discover this until we were ready to use it but she did try to help but we just cooked inside and it was fine. I should have checked that beforehand. The host did respond and was willing to help but we chose not to wait. I would definitely stay there again!!! So much more fun than hotel rooms!

High expectations and still exceeded them!
We were in town for Little Rocktoberfest and we wanted a reasonably priced place to stay compared to previous years when we stayed in a hotel. After seeing the pictures I had high expectations but they were nothing close to how well thought out the place is. Being located next to a busy highway, the noise is more than some people would be used to. In fact, living next to a highway I still expected to have some trouble sleeping. Nope, the bedrooms are especially quiet. They appear to have multiple sound dampening improvements in place for this. And while waiting for the rest of our party to arrive, four us dug into the provided board games to find "What Do You Meme?" (A family friendly game similar to "Cards Against Humanity"). Coffee, laundry detergent, bathroom essentials all present and placed you don't have to look for them. There is even beer pong supplies if that's your thing. The furniture was a mixture of what seemed like antiques and just comfortable furniture. It was all surpringly comfortable, but it also made the atmosphere very pleasant. I could literally gush for 15 or 20 minutes about this place. The landscaping is beautiful, the layout is convenient, the beds are comfortable....

Perfect for 3 couples. We each had our own bathroom. Be forewarned that you have to walk through one of the upstairs bedrooms to get to the other one. So the upstairs is really only suitable for parents and their children, not for couples who want their privacy. This set up was not a problem for us since there are 2 bedrooms downstairs as well.

This place was very clean and nice! There were games, lots of lotions, and very nice towels. There’s even a toddler bed and toys for kids if needed. The house has lots of room and is perfect for a large group. The hosts were wonderful about answering any questions prior and during our stay.

We had a family wedding in the area. Everyone came from different directions. House was perfect for our needs. Neighborhood seemed sketchy, but very quite and wasn't an issue. By the way, a dually will NOT fit through the gate, had to park in the street, which was fine. Had a great time!!!

This was our first trip since the spread of Covid-19 and we were paranoid about staying out. We took a chance after reading the reviews and had a great experience. It was just 4 of us with our dogs, and we had a great stay. The house was super clean and huge. The photos doesn't justify the house completely. We had all needed supplies and Ruth was always there when we needed, and would say that she is an amazing host!. The only other thing I would like to mentioned here is that the house is near the freeway, so if you are a light sleeper, then you might get affected with the sound coming from the freeway. Other than that, this place is awesome!!

Ruth’s property was a great place for us to stay during a weekend in town for a friends wedding. We had 4 couples and enjoyed all the space the house provided. It was a great accommodation that allowed us to each have separate spaces, plenty of bathrooms and a large living room for communal gatherings. The house was stocked with all the essentials, bedding, towels and plenty of dishes/utensils in the kitchen. The location is about 5 minutes drive into downtown Little Rock are which was very convenient! However there is no walkable restaurants or areas from the house. Overall it was the perfect house for our large group!

Great home and helpful, friendly owners
We evacuated here for Hurricane Laura. The owners are amazing. The house is beautiful. It is close to the interstate but so well insulated, you hardly hear any road noise. I have a baby and a two year old. It was so nice to have things here that we needed but couldn’t take with us such as a baby gate and booster seat. We actually extended our stay for another week instead of going home to a war zone right now.

Charming well kept home
This home was charming, clean, and very well suited for our party of 6. It had all we needed in order to enjoy our stay. A vase of fresh beautiful blue hydrangeas awaited our arrival on the beautiful kitchen table. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and for sharing your beautiful home with us. Pride of ownership shows in the upkeep of this home. It is close to the freeway, you can hear some road noise, however it did not take away from our relaxing stay nor did it disturb our stay or sleep.

Perfect home for large family
The house is large and spread out where the ground floor rooms have complete privacy. The upper floor where two bedrooms are located you have to walk from one bedroom through another to exit to lower floor. Working with Ruth was a pleasure and her property is very cozy. My only complaint is that the yard was full of doggie deposits left from previous guest.

Thank You for your review, you are right the previous guests didn't pick up after their dogs and you arrived the same day they check-out and my housekeeper didn't noticed, I wish I knew a quick phone call could resolved the problem, now I'm ending up with a 3 star review which I don't think is fair, nevertheless when someone reads it, they will see it. Thanks!

Remarkable Restoration of a Vintage Craftsman Home
A tastefully remodeled Craftsman with big front and back ceiling-fanned porches sits on a fenced lot that is neatly manicured. Everything we could need was provided including Christmas decorations for the holidays.
