Thanks for your response. I actually have a new doorknob/lock to install. The doors stick in early spring and with the constantly changing weather. They’re fine now. I’ll check the mattress. Kindly, Kelly

I apologize for not meeting your expectations. I'd just like to reinforce that all bedding and bath towels, mats, sheets, are replace per visitor. Counters, refrigerator, tables and floors are cleaned with Pine-sol per visit. Maybe I over Pine-soled the bathroom floor. The bathroom appliances, shower, toilet are also cleaned with a bleach solution and Lysol with every visit. I'll double check for fingerprints next time.

Thank you Greg for your rigorous honesty. Sometimes guests leave condiments such as butter, mustard, ketchup etc or water in the refrigerator that I can tell are new or only used once, , so I leave them because someone else might need them. Maybe it's better to throw them away.

Ross Wilbur is correct regarding many aspects of his review. If he would had viewed the property and read the description ahead of time, he may have drawn these conclusions before he subletted it to his friends. The pictures are very accurate. The bathroom is small, and there is a description of the bed accommodations, etc are as written and can be seen in the pictures. The problem lies in the fact that Mr. Wilbur subletted this cottage and the people he subletted to were not happy. I will apologize for not connecting the air conditioner. Based on the fact that it snowed one week previous to this rental, I was not prepared for heat. However, connecting the air conditioner along with the many complaints could have been remedied with a simple phone call. All of these problems were reported to me on day 5 of a 6 day reservation. I am usually available, right next door if there is a problem. If not, I have a neighbor who manages the property when I am not present. Finally, the description has not changed since last Memorial Day weekend when a woman complained of ants. That’s where the “Marriott” comment came from. By the way, the ants have been taken care of, as well as the squeaky cabinet and the air conditioning.

Thank you Margaret for your response. I did go in and re-check the couch. I did spray a few weeks ago for ants and wasps. I did notice when I was sweeping that I was sweeping up dead wasps, and I thought I got them all probably because of the spray that I used. Regarding air conditioning and Wi-Fi, that is not advertised at all. Primarily this is a fishing camp most of the cabins up here are the same way. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you Melissa. We really weren’t “watching.” You could have used either fire pit. All you had to do was ask. I’ve wanted to purchase another, 2nd fire bowl- last years was destroyed by a renter who trashed the place. I also took care of the ants- ‘tis the season. Again, all you had to do was mention that you saw an ant, and it would have been taken care of.

Thanks, The rotten egg smell is sulfur. It is common to the area because the water comes from a well.
