This was a wonderful house and location for a peaceful vacation. The property is spacious and clean. The outdoor area on the lake was amazing, with a wonderful porch and hot tub.
Drove in for a weekend from Michigan.Hot tubs and sunsets were as promised and very pleasant even in the cool weather.Great communication with hosts.Comfy bed, Jacuzzi tub was nice. We only went to a restaurant once and kitchen was more than sufficient for our cooking needs.Nearby Hillman Marsh is an excellent addition to any Point Pelee trip as well as nearby Colasanti's Tropical Gardens.Very nice to stay at this property - one of the most homey I've been to in the past few years.
My husband and I stayed a few nights for a short getaway. From the beginning, the host was communicative and was quick to respond. The property had everything we could have needed and was impeccably clean. The outside areas were comfortable and inviting - even when it was overcast. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future.
After a last minute cancellation by another property owner, we were fortunate enough to find this place available for a 5 night stay. It turned out to be an even greater place than the one weâd originally booked. Spacious, clean and a gorgeous setting. We were sad to leave and have already highly recommended it to friends.
Beautiful upgraded home, right on Lake Erie. Everything you need is provided. We only used the grill, so I can't comment on the stove or oven. Because it's on the lake, be prepared for bugs and plan accordingly. If it's warm outside, the upstairs loft does get warm. There aren't any fans, so bring some. The management company handled any complaints or help we needed.
Our stay at Kingfisher Lake House was exactly as we imagined it would be. The hot tub was lovely. The kitchen was big, clean, conveniently arranged and outfitted. The bed in the master bedroom was large and comfortable. Because of the season, the stay was very private as no one appeared to be at the neighbouring cottages. This would not be the case in peak season as cottages are very close to one another as the pictures show. The sunroom is bright and cozy and the gas fireplace is very effective. The tv is set up with all the streaming services. We had one small glitch in the tv and the property manager was on top of it within forty minutes and solved the issue. All bedrooms are cozy. The stairs to the second floor are well lit but steep for little ones so take care if staying with small children. But the bathrooms are plentiful for three bedrooms. There was lots of room for six people to be comfortable and spread out. The ONLY reason I did not give this property five stars is that there is no real view of the lake from any sitting position other than the dining room table. The view from the hot tub is EXCELLENT. And the deck is wonderful. But the concrete break wall prevents a view from anywhere inside the cottage. This is not a problem in good weatherâŠyouâre outside! But the average person cannot sit in the living room and see the lake. The true assets of this cottage are: a wonderful hot tub and lake view from outside, a big kitchen for cooking good food with your favourite people (bbq also great), and the very comfortable bed. It is conveniently located, clean and updated, cozy and relaxing. We had a wonderful time and the property manager took good care of us.
My fiance and I had an opening in our schedules for a last minute getaway. We're from southern Ohio and we randomly picked Leamington from a map with absolutely no idea what we were getting into. It turned out to be an awesome location!
The property itself was terrific. Very clean, and a well stocked kitchen which is important to us as we prefer to cook all of our own meals when we travel. We bought 2 dinner's worth of meat from Bradt's in Leamington, and we used the grill for both of our dinners. We had an awesome sunset one evening which we watched from the hot tub, and then fired up the heater in the sunroom and had drinks out there after dinner.
We were excited about the park pass and spent most of one of our days in the park. We went to the point, then did the marsh boardwalk hike, then went back to the house to change clothes and back to the park again for a long trail run.
All in all we had a great trip and loved both the area and the property. We would definitely come back!
It was a perfect stay and we were thrilled to find not just all we needed, but more, upon arriving, including a pass to Point Pelee. We loved the cosy area in the back room and the hot tub was perfection. You can tell the place is well taken care of! Thank you and we look forward to returning.
This cottage is perfect for a relaxing getaway or family fun. Beautiful sunsets, very peaceful. Hot Tub was amazing. Super comfortable beds. All the amenities of home. Will definitely rent again!
Our group enjoyed staying at King Fisher Lake House. We had breakfast in and ate out at other times. The amenities around made for a great trip. It was a top notch facility.
Very nice, well equipped water front cottage. Enjoyed our stay. But couple minor issues. The oven oes not work properly. Only the top heating element work. Therefore it burns pizza top, but Crest stays raw. The sliding door of the ground floor bathroom does not lock. The sliding door of the ground floor master bedroom does not stay closed. And there is no hook or counter surface to put towels or clothes. Apart from the above, all good.
I was not disappointed, the pictures and write up accurately described the property, check in was a breeze. Any questions I had were answered promptly, and politely. The basics were found in the house, anything I forgot at home happened to be there. The Park access was awesome and I met some great neighbours. Truly 5 star stay, will definitely rent with Paul again.
Once we got to the property, we quickly learned that it had not been well maintained.
1. Pocket door issues in main washroom - far too difficult to open and close and Ensuite rolled open without closing
2. Burnt out lights, different kinds of lights (warm and cold), flickering lights
3. Dishes were mostly dirty to down right disgusting (bacon grease on all of them, it seemed)
4. Oven only worked on the top element. Pizza was raw on the bottom. Second batch of cookies didn't even cook. This after having them in the over THREE times longer than recipe required.
5. Outside was covered in bird poop and webs
6. Not enough towels
7. Found towels in the wash so we dried them and put them away
8. Not enough side tables (in living room by fireplace chair and outside between the Muskoka Chairs)
9. Can opener needs to be replaced.
10. Some more detailed instructions as to how to use the TV/Alexa device would ave been appreciated, even just say what could and could not be attained.
Home had everything you will need for a great vacation. Wonderful location, close to so many things to do and places to eat. Definitely somewhere I hope we can return to.
