Convenient Location
We stayed in Lead for the month of February 2024. Both Sarah and Stephen were very friendly and responded very quickly. We did not need to ask for much because the house was ready to go when we arrived. We skied at Terry Peak about 4 times a week. It was a little over a ten minute drive. The garage was great for storing our gear. We could enter the house from the garage without going outside. We also liked being right in town. We attended the Lead Winterfest to watch fireworks over the open pit. We went to Dakota Shivers Brewery frequently. Made us feel like locals. We were also very close to Deadwood where we attended the Mardi Gras. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Phenomenal place
What a treasure. You can truly feel the heart and soul the host poured into this cozy home. Such a cute place, super clean, easy to access, plenty of amenities, and very great host.

Octoberfest and Birthday getaway
This property had everything to offer. Super nice, clean and gave us the sense of home. It was located in a different area, but very unique. When we do another adventure we will try and acquire this VRBO again. VERY NICE!

Handy to Black Hill Sights, industrial neighborhood
Property was nicely appointed. Main access road under construction but not hard to get to with good directions. Across the road is a research facility which does have quite a lot of comings and goings, including semi-trucks. Leads is very quiet but very near Deadwood and other destinations.

great location
Nice place that worked well for us. Probably a quarter mile from town, maybe 2.5 miles from deadwood. Close to everything without the expensive price. Spent time in Spearfish as well. The home was clean, well stocked and convenient.

Close to all the great things South Dakota has to offer! Love, love, love!
Everything was pretty amazing. However, we chose to stay in during the evenings usually and found the living room furniture not as user friendly as we all liked. It was beautiful and we loved the decor but not comfortable for the most part. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!! Thank you for an amazing stay. What a perfect location!

Great Location
Three of us visited the Black Hills for a short getaway this summer. The house was exactly what we needed. Clean with space for each of us, a nice place to sit outside and enjoy the view and weather, and a good location for visiting the different attractions and scenic drives. The house is at the top of the hill so it's pretty quiet and there isn't much traffic. The host is very responsive and helpful. Bonus: If you are there on the 4th of July like we were, you have the perfect view of the fireworks put on by the city of Lead. They were fantastic and all we had to do was step outside the door to watch.

Family Vaca Summer 2023
We had a great family vacation here! The house was very clean & comfortable. The beds were great! The location ended up being perfectly centered between all the days trips we took. (Devils Tower, Badlands, Custer, Sturgis) Another big highlight of the house was seeing all the deer in the neighborhood. They would graze just a few feet away from us! Very cool to see!

Extended VACA away
Clean, as expected per description, well stocked, but limited parking with 24' trailer and truck. Did learn from local police you cannot unhook trailer from vehicle on street. Elevated toilet would benefit seniors and disabled with bad knees.

I apologize, I didn't realize you were coming with a trailer. The city just passed that ordinance last week about trailers. I would have had you park it in the yard.. We are planning on turning the bottom portion of the yard into a parking space for that purpose.

Great Black Hills location
This was perfect for our family of 5. Our younger 2 had bunk beds in their own room, our teen had his own rom with full size bed & we had a queen bed in our room. Even a garage below we could use on snow night, (our Acadia just fit inside). We made most of our dinners in the kitchen that had all of the tools & utensils we needed. This is a great central location to everywhere we wanted to visit. Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Jewel Cave & right up the hill from Sanford Lab. My favorite place is Devil’s Tower, the furthest at about an 80 minute drive. We hope to be able to visit again.

Perfect spot in Lead
Overall a great place! It was very clean and tidy. The beds could be a bit more comfy, and they squeaked, but hey, we have a temper pedic so we're kind of spoiled. The 3 year old loved the bunk beds. Location is great! We'll stay here again for sure

Very nice rental
Spent 6 days with adult daughter fly fishing. Property was centrally located to most of the trout streams. House was clean and well stocked. One suggestion is to make the front porch accessible from within the house. Contact was very prompt in responding to email questions. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Thanks for staying. Sorry about the front door. It has swelled with the humidity this year, and I keep forgetting to grab the sander to sand back the top corner. Just have to give a good tug on it in the meantime. We plan on replacing it in the near future. Thank again

Cute little house with all the neccesaties we needed!!
This is a cozy little house and had everything we needed for comfort and kitchen amenaties. There was bathroom ammentaies as well but we had plenty of our own. Had we forgotten, they had plenty of small bottles on hand. Would definetly stay again!!

We loved staying at this property in Lead. It was just the right space for our family of 5. The only thing we weren’t prepared for was not having central Air conditioning in July. Not a big problem, just unexpected.

Perfect for Exploring
This house was perfect for our family to explore the surrounding areas! It was so relaxing to come back to the house after a long day of driving and walking. We found the house well stocked and very clean. Sarah's directions were great and easy to follow. We didn't use it, but the bunk bed room was so cute and perfect for younger kids. (My son enjoyed having a queen bed to himself.). It was very enjoyable stay and I would definitely stay there again!

Great Black Hills Getaway Spot!
This is a great property for kids and adults. It's a great location, easy to get to, and has quick access to the highways to tour the Black Hills from. We will definitely want to stay here again!

Autumn Getaway in the Black Hills
House is clean and comfortable and centrally located to Black Hills attractions. The property is located aged at very top a steep hill, which could be difficult to navigate in winter. Property owners were great, very welcoming and responsive. Iwould definitely stay here again!

Vacation with daughter and grandkids to South Dakota
We really enjoyed our 3 day stay at this cute house. We were busy seeing the sights, and were back to the house late in the day. Having a nice, cool home to return to was perfect. The grandkids really enjoyed the house, and it was nice to have the extra space, compared to a hotel room. Washer and dryer was appreciated with the kid’s clothes as well. The house is on the top of a hill, so parking is a breeze. The view looking back down the road is gorgeous. An added treat was seeing the deer each day walk right through the yard. I’d definitely stay here again when coming back to the area. Thanks so much!

Good time in Lead
A real nice place for my wife and I to come back to and relax after riding motorcycle thru the black hills all day. It was a nice quiet neighborhood and the house was clean and comfortable.A great place and location to stay for a visit to the area.

Great location in Lead for local activities
We have stayed in many places in Lead /Deadwoond area and absolutely loved this Location. It was perfect for two small families. Close to all of the activities we wanted to take in. Loved the fact that it was close to the Mickelson Trail as well. Safe and clean environment! Local bucks hung out in the years with us as well.

Lead Getaway
Home is very clean and well stocked and owner is very helpful and kind. One complaint is the full mattress is quite soft and the one neighbor can be a bit annoying. Overall, great place! It is a central location to many of the Black Hills adventures. We would recommend it.

This home is so cozy! Peaceful! It was like being at Grandmas ❤️ TRULY the BEST place!
Go see Mt Rushmore and stop in the little towns! Western Photos at Woodys in Deadwood is a must too!
