Quality place. Courteous staff. The price jumped hours before we booked. Good but small poll. No hot tub, which was a surprise. Adequate breakfast. Snacks were outrageously priced. But we will stay there again.

Extremely Clean
We were extremely happy with the LeMars Holiday Inn. It was extremely clean. The rooms were very spacious. We fell in love with the pillows and had to go online and order some for home.

Overly priced and no working elevator
$150 for one night and a hotel, and there is no working elevator and it has been this way for six weeks!

Hi John,I am so very sorry to hear we failed to meet your expectations! We have been so frustrated with our elevator - not only have our 2nd and 3rd floor guests been inconvenienced, but also our housekeepers as we haul linens up and down daily. Unfortunately, as good as our internal maintenance department is, and elevator is something that requires us to depend on a certified elevator repair company - which has been challenging for us. They have been here numerous times since it was broken and are scheduled to come out yet again this afternoon. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it being down caused you on your recent stay. I fully understand where you are coming from and share that sentiment with you. I hope very much it is up and going again before the end of today!

Elevator not working and frig not cooling properly
I paid $150 for a hotel room that cost $100 anywhere else around the country…then after checking in, I found out that the elevator did not work so I had to lug everything up and downstairs! Finally, when I got into the room I found that the refrigerator didn’t work…so, all the food I bought had to either be eaten right away or thrown out

I'm so very sorry you had a negative experience with our hotel John! Our elevator is currently being serviced by a professional elevator company to get it back in service asap. As great as our Maintenance team is - an elevator is one item that requires professional technicians to repair, and sadly it has been a challenge for them. We expect it to be back up and running any day now. If you would be willing to call us at the hotel, we'd love to know the room number you stayed in so we could take a look at that fridge? I'm sure it was frustrating to have your food go bad and we'd like to try and make this right for you.

Elevator wasn’t working. We had to carry out luggage up the steps. The closes exterior door wouldn’t open with our key. Had to walk around. Not very accommodating.

I'm so sorry Mike that these things weren't working during your stay. Please rest assured that the exterior door key swipe has been repaired and is back in working order. While we do have a great maintenance team and they can fix nearly anything - the elevator is a different story and we are working with a professional elevator company to get this repaired. They are scheduled to be back on site today and expect it to be running hopefully before you read this reply.Thanks for staying with us, and I hope you will try us again soon when I sincerely envision everything back to the way all of us expect them to be.

Cleanest hotel I’ve been to in a while.
Checked in late with family. Quick, easy process. Room was immaculate. Admittedly, I had trouble sleeping but I think that was more about me than the bed or the pillows. The breakfast was great. I’ve never seen a pancake machine before! It was nice to see something different than the typical waffle iron. Kids and adults both loved the pool. Decent temp and seriously, the cleanest pool area I’ve ever been in. Pools usually have kind of gross pool decks where you feel like you still need to wear shoes for good hygeine. This place looked clean enough to eat off the floor…I wouldn’t…but it looked like you could. On the way out the door at check out, the front lady gave each kid a goodie bag. Seriously, best hotel experience in a long time…maybe best ever

Nice hotel, bad room
Checking into the hotel was quick and easy. Our rooms had issues. The first room the ac was not working and the room was about 80 in the room, the bed seemed used but made, and there were clothes in the drawer. We stayed in the room for a couple of hours thinking it would cool off. We ended up switching rooms and the next room wardrobe bar fell down when we put hang up clothes on. In addition, the breakfast was good but ended at 9 am on the weekend, way earlier than i normally get up.

The hotel was clean and had a good location for the town. There was always someone at the desk so I never had to wait. Breakfast had many options and was good. It did end early on the weekend (9:30). They didn’t service the room (3 nights) during the stay. The walls are thin, and it was loud from people in the hallways. Saturday morning - the hotel was prob full - there was no hot water. Sunday morning the water was lukewarm.

We have resumed full housekeeping service, but according to our Housekeeping notes that day, perhaps a 'Do Not Disturb' note was left on your door? In those cases, we respect your privacy! It appears one of our 3 hot water heaters failed during your stay - My sincere apologies. Please take note however, this has been repaired and we are fully back and able to provide hot water to all.I hope you'll consider giving us another chance the next time you're in the area. We appreciate your feedback so we can keep working to improve!

Great stay - clean and friendly
Checking was swift and friendly. The room I checked into was not the room I booked via the photos/description from booking online. The staff was quick and able to switch me to the room I thought I booked which was another upgrade to accommodate my kids and entertaining traveling family. Overall a great stay, thank you.

I always stay at the Holiday Inn Express in LeMars when I visit family there. I can count on the hotel to be clean and the staff to be friendly. I am disappointed that when I book directly through Holiday Inn's website there are a ridiculous amount of add on fees. Luckily I noticed that before I booked my room and I booked through a third party for a big savings.

Nice place.... breakfast not so hot.
The hotel and room were clean and comfrontable. The hot breakfast was barely warm at best and there was not a microwave in the dining area to make it more edible. Next to cold food on a cold morning made the stay.... not so hot.
