Log Castle - On the Beach, Expansive Sound / Mountain View (nouveau sur VRBO)

Autrefois un Bed & Breakfast très apprécié, le Log Castle est maintenant disponible pour la location de maisons. Construit avec des bûches récoltées sur une propriété familiale, le Log Castle est un havre chaleureux et accueillant pour votre famille et vos amis. Son design éclectique, sa vue imprenable sur l'eau depuis la plupart des chambres et son emplacement en bord de mer en font une base idéale pour vos vacances. Profitez de la plage de sable, avec un large banc de sable, de petits kayaks (pour enfants) pour pagayer, un radeau pour la baignade et des kilomètres de plage peu peuplée. Si votre timing est bon, vous pouvez même regarder les baleines refaire surface dans la baie juste à côté du pont. La cuisine a été récemment rénovée, avec des appareils en acier inoxydable, un comptoir en granit et une vue sur l'eau à 180 degrés. La grande cheminée dans le salon en fait une retraite confortable et chaleureuse. Des kilomètres de sentiers de randonnée s'étendent à travers les bois de l'autre côté de la route. Nous avons un appartement attenant occupé, donc un temps calme est nécessaire après 22h00. Le charmant village de Langley est à un mile et demi - à cinq minutes en voiture ou à pied le long de la plage - avec des boutiques, des galeries, des restaurants, etc. Un des points forts du Log Log Castle est que la cuisine et les deux chambres se trouvent chacune dans la tour à huit côtés - essayez de ne pas vous disputer pour savoir qui obtient la chambre de la tour supérieure avec ses vues phénoménales. La pêche et la natation (surtout lorsque la marée est arrivée sur un banc de sable ensoleillé) - font de merveilleux souvenirs de famille.

Chambre 3 (tour au 2ème étage): lit King

Toutes les chambres ont une salle de bain privée

La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec vaisselle pour 14 personnes. La table à manger - un grand morceau de conversation fabriqué à partir d'une coupe de base d'une bûche récoltée dans les années 1920 - peut accueillir confortablement huit personnes et dix si vous êtes de bons amis.

Wifi et câble sont fournis; la réception des téléphones portables est adéquate mais pas idéale dans tous les domaines de la maison.

Oceanfront Delight

This log castle does not disappoint! All bedrooms have a bathroom which is great. Beds are comfy. View is stunning and household amenities are plentiful. Owners are always accessible. Highly recommend this stay!

Incredible water views!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Log Castle! The layout was perfect for our two families. Every room had their own bathroom plus 1 extra! The kids were begging us to steal the tower bedrooms for themselves. They loved ringing the bell. 4 days later we were still discovering unique details about the house. The kitchen was well stocked. We loved exploring the beach and looking for seals. We loved being so close to Langley so we could explore town (eat at The Bravern!), visit the Langley Whale Center, hike the saratoga woods and find waterman rock, explore Double Bluff Beach, and so many more things!

Fantastic as always

This has become an annual tradition for a dozen of us that meet up every year and play board games for a long weekend. The house is fantastic, the views are beautiful, the hosts are wonderful; it’s just an all-around great spot.

Perfect for Nature

We had an excellent stay for the Langley Murder Mystery weekend. The house is exactly as depicted! It's super funky and one of a kind. Lea is a fantastic host, even going out of her way to notify us of an otter playing on the dock in case we missed it. Speaking of nature, you can't do better. We saw a whale, a huge troop of seals right outside the house, otters, eagles and herons. If you're looking for a family-centric getaway and want views, and nature, this is an excellent spot. Keep in mind, this is a tough spot for folks with mobility issues - lots of stairs and steep slopes. Beyond that, the house is clean, well-stocked and situated close enough to Langley to take advantage of town. We all agreed, we'd visit again.

Amazing Cabin Experience

We spent a cool winter weekend on Whidbey Island and couldn't have picked a better place to relax and enjoy the cabin, views, and sealife that the Log Castle has to offer. The entire family loved exploring all the unique aspects of the cabin and property, discovering a number of very unique aspects of a hand built family cabin. It was an honor to have had the opportunity to stay here. Thank you.

Best family summer house ever!

The Log Castle is a special place. It was easily large enough and for 11 family members, 2-74 years of age. The home is uniquely beautiful, an art piece in itself, but comfortable at the same time. The kitchen is fully equipped, along with plenty of bedding. There was much to do at the cabin, swimming, hiking, beach walking, kayaking, and more. The town of Langley is very cute with lots of restaurants. There is much to explore on the Island. Our highlight was watching a bald eagle that showed up on the beach each morning and watching the seals, especially when they came up on the raft.

Such a magical place

We spent time at the log castle with family from out of state and it did not disappoint. I thought it had to be too good to be true that someone could have this many 5 star reviews, but once you meet Lea, you see why. She is sharing a magical piece of her family’s history and we were in awe by the beauty of it all. We loved the eclectic nature of the home and kayaking with the seals was incredible. The home feels like it’s a world away, but you’re really close to restaurants and grocery store if needed! We will cherish our memories at the log castle forever. Thank you!

Best VRBO stay I've ever had

We loved everything about our stay at the Log Castle: the communication with the owners, being greeted at the house when we arrived, the location, the house itself, everything. We went with a group of 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 7-9) and everyone loved it. We saw a grey whale swim past the house one evening and loved the noisy 15+ harbor seals on the nearby dock. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything we could ask for. I'm already discussing another trip back here with my parents and sister's famly, since I know they'll love it too. Thank you so much for letting us staying at your magical abode.

Fantastic destination

You will never see a more original log house in your life. Worth staying here just for the house itself! The fact that it's right on the water with an incredible view is almost just a bonus! Fully equipped huge kitchen. Three super comfortable adult bedrooms with bathrooms and a great bunk room if you have kids. All the rooms have the most incredible views. Comfortable dining set up for a large group. We were there in winter weather which was fun but I can see how it would be a fantastic summer destination as well. Everything was absolutely perfect with our stay. The hosts met us when we checked in which was very handy. They had messaged us about opening the front door. When I saw the email I thought , good grief, I think I know how to open a front door but it was actually a good thing they met us there. There are many unique and interesting aspects to this wonderful home and opening the front door is one of them. Go figure! Would happily stay there again.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Log Castle. It was great for the kids to play and for the adults to relax. Lea was a warm host and even made us pies from the berries we collected from her berry plants.

Just what we needed

Our family came together at the Log Castle to heal from the unexpected loss of our son and to celebrate his life. Lea provided an easel to hold a large tribute board we brought that was dedicated to him. The setting was perfect - serene and peaceful. There was something for everyone to do - walks along the beach (we walked to Langley), the kids took the kayaks out, we walked the forest trails across the highway and we enjoyed the gorgeous views from the deck and inside the house. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was plenty of counter space. There were extra tables and chairs to set up for a larger group. We were all impressed by the craftsmanship of this home done by Lea's dad. Our daughter-in-law said this was her favorite place that we had ever chosen for a family get together. We hope we get the opportunity to stay at the Log Castle again.

Great weekend away

We spent Memorial Day weekend here with a few families. It was a perfect spot. Easy beach access and we could always see what the kids were up to from the house. A Magical Experience!

There almost aren’t adequate words to describe the experience of staying here. A stunningly beautiful property with many hidden surprises to discover, you (like us) won’t want to leave when the time comes. In addition to the seals, eagles and occasional whale, the property is beautifully landscaped. Property Managers were extremely pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended!

Beauty, character, nature, and connection!

My friends and I stayed here for the weekend and are completely enamored by the property. Lea was so friendly in the best way, I felt like I could have chatted with her all day, but didn’t feel intruded on either. Lea and Dennis were outside doing some updates and we felt welcome to be outside on the beach. We had a group of adults laughing and singing along to our favorite throw back tunes which got a little loud despite my best efforts, so I checked in with Lea and she agreed that we could bring it down a notch and we tucked away into a back room once it got late. The beds were all comfortable, the cabin had so much character and history (which we loved reading about!), there were plenty of towels and linens, the kitchen had all of the utensils/pots/pans etc we needed, and the kayaks were a lovely bonus. P.s. The dock that floats out front holds approximately 18 harbor seals; wake up for the sunrise to see them before they scatter at daylight! We did a very thorough clean of the upstairs levels and washed extra loads of laundry to make things easier on them once we left. I would recommend this place to others! :)
