« Great stay in Tregenna Castle. Although it is a bit of an uphill walk to the hotel it is very easy to get a taxi near the harbour. The room was good although it took some time for the hot water to arrive in the morning for showers. Breakfast great. »

« Vue magnifique depuis cet hôtel en bord de mer. Chambre supérieure avec vue mer assez confortable et calme. Parking privé très pratique. Salle de restaurant avec très belle vue mais pas terrible au niveau de la restauration. Rapport qualité prix élevé, mais on est face à St Michael’s Mount!!! »

« Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help. »

« The hosts were lovely. Clean, safe, comfortable, good common area includes fridge, glasses, plates & cutlery. Delicious breakfasts with a view of the colourful boat harbour. The pub in Mousehole (5 min walk) was good. Parking is a short distance away but make sure you have cell / text service to use the parking app in case the only machine in the lot isn't working as the next lot is 2 miles away! Would stay here again!!! »

« Tiny room, death trap staircase. Kitchen closed on Sunday evening, probably just as well; full English breakfast was pitiful. »

« We were given a different room to the one we booked. The room was smelling strongly of air freshener to cover the smell from the drains. There was no hot water in the bathroom. The evening meal was awful and took over 2hrs for 2 courses, the waitress ended up in tears after all the complaints. The receptionist tried her best to sort things out but was fighting a loosing battle. All in all not a good stay, luckily we only stayed one night - never again!!! »
