On last day we couldn’t buy tickets for breakfast. When we left we ask to the reception to call a taxi for us but they refused to do so. We spend almost 30 minutes on the street to finally get a taxi available.

It was perfect. We arrived earlier and the staff gladly hold on to our luggages since we were early on the check-in. We had the option for self checkin and the staff helped us when needed. There is amenities to help you out if you forgot something and some washers/dryers available which you are able to see the time remaining from the TV of your room. The staff was kind, smiling, helpful and professionnal through all our stay. When I will come back to Kyoto, I will glady stay again at this hotel. Furthermore, there is easy access to transportation near and you have some of the best shopping streets and historical sites within 20 minutes of walk. Any traveler who read my comment, take my word for it: its worth it.

Spacious and bright comparing to the property in Tokyo Kanda. Breakfast tastes good and has very good value for your $. Staff were very friendly and super helpful (from check in to luggage transfer). Would definitely recommend to friends and family coming to Kyoto. Definitely worth stay here again.

We loved our stay at this hotel. We got a free upgrade to a room with a queen sized bed, which was great since we stayed in Kyoto for five days so having more space made our stay much more comfortable. We also loved that we were less than a 15 minute walk to the downtown shopping area (i.e., Nishiki market, great restaurants, etc.). We had a bus line and a subway station close by, so it was easy to get around Kyoto from the hotel. The staff were super nice and helpful. Out of all the budget hotels we stayed at, this was definitely the best one. Highly recommend!

Location is not bad. It takes 5 min walk from the train station but it’s very close to the river. There are some convenient store and 24H supermarket nearby. The most surprised thing is the hotel even provides hairband, cleaning oil, toner, cleaning milk and lotion.

DO NOT STAY HERE! They made all guests line up at 3 pm before they would allow check-in although at least some rooms were ready. Punished me for complaining by giving me a room without a real window (frosted glass). Wouldn’t allow me to buy breakfast. and said it was “unavailable” although others eating at the time. One staff member spoke English some——others hardly a word. Fair location at best. Overall——- horrible!!!

This hotel was in a great location to many sights. It was clean and comfortable. My only wish was that it had more laundry tubs. It was hard to get our laundry done because it was so busy.
