We chose this condo mainly for the incredible oceanfront location — steps from Poipu Beach with truly stunning views, and that part absolutely delivered. Being able to cook meals and walk right out to the beach was exactly what we were looking for.That said, there are a few things that could use attention. The interior feels very dated, from the couches and bedding to the sheets, towels, and kitchenware. It’s not that anything was broken — it just feels like everything has been there for decades. The kitchen, while functional, is overstocked with too many mismatched items, making it feel a bit cluttered.I did appreciate that the knives were new and very sharp, which made cooking a lot easier!As someone who lives a low-tox lifestyle, I did struggle with the strong smell and taste of conventional detergents — both for laundry and dishwashing. The scent on the pillow and bedding was overpowering, and I could even taste detergent residue on the silverware. Switching to fragrance-free or more natural products would make a big difference for sensitive guests.All in all, we enjoyed our stay because of the location, but I do think the condo could really stand out with a simple refresh — updated furnishings, decluttering the kitchen, and using cleaner household products. It feels like the kind of place that has great potential but just needs a little love to take it to the next level.
