PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Sunny Poipu Beach! This cozy first floor unit at Kiahuna Plantation is the perfect place to rest your head after a days adventure! Relax on your private lanai overlooking the lush garden while being steps to the sand. Surf spots, long walks and lifeguarded beach are at your fingertips. Wifi, fully stocked kitchen, free parking, 24 hour no hassle check in with key-card, king size bed, full bathroom and oversized lanai with dining table and lounge chairs on the lanai too.

The Bedroom has a King size bed to ensure a comfortable night's rest. This condo comes with Mini split AC that, when the windows are all closed, cools down the entire unit efficiently. The living room is complete with a queen size sleeper sofa to accommodate 2 extra guests (4 total). In the living room you'll also find cable TV to relax after a day's adventure. Enjoy cooking in this fully stocked kitchen with all of the cooking supplies you can think of!

Poipu Beach Athletic club pass with poolside bar, tennis, water slide and workout room included. Shopping and dining also just next door. It's the perfect location here at Kiahuna Plantation. Just 45 minutes to the top of the Waimea Canyon and 1 hour to the North Shore. Open up the louvred windows and the sliding doors to let the gentle trade winds blow through. Really great location! Loved the close access to the beach, rental of surf boards and shopping area. Condo was very clean and well equipped. Communication going in was very good. However when we arrived at Lihue airport I sent 3 texts messages and I did not get any answered. I finally called once we arrived on site and someone came right away to give us our cards to access the condo.

Good location for exploring south and central Kauai
We stayed six nights at this condo. Overall it's a good location for exploring the south part of the island. The condo is a ground floor unit with a nice patio looking out on a lawn and trees. The beach is a 5 to 10 minute walk because this unit is in the back of the complex. When the tide is up there was very little beach. Better options are a short drive to one of the adjacent public beaches. It's quit except for the roosters crowing in the morning. The use of the pool and athletic facility across the street (driving) was nice. The restaurant there is good and the Mai Tai's were the best we tasted. It would have been nice to have beach chairs available for use. Also the bath tub really needs replacement. It's got a number of rust spots. If you want ocean views and close access to the beach there are better options. It was fine for us because we used it as a base to explore the whole island.

Spacious apartment with plenty to walk to
This spot was perfect for our family. Our 14 month old daughter could play in the green space out back while we lounged on the lanai. With the stroller we could reach a bunch of restaurants, the beach, and the club with a pool. This was our favorite, since the sand bottom kiddie pool was just right for her. Never made it to the towel hut but the evening turtle beach naps were a definite highlight. Would love to come back here with more time for everything, and definitely recommend this place for small families.

Rust Dripping Form Shower Ceiling
There was rusted water and plaster dripping/falling from the ceiling of the only shower. Not knowing if the ceiling might collapse on us while in the shower, felt unsafe, un-nerving and discomforting. The prop. mngmt. rep. was kind and courteous, did send over a service rep., but that process, including adding an outside plumber and as a result, we were effectively unable to privately enjoy 2+ days of our stay in the unit. The mngmt. rep. infomed me she spoke with the ownership and we would be refunded for "2 days", but in fact, we were ONLY refunded for 1 day. I found that action to be a very poor demonstration of commitment to the customer.

Place was great. Immaculate and well equipped. A short walk thru the Marriott to the beach and a great bar/restaurant Honu. A/C works well. Still need a handle on the fridge and the pocket door to the bedroom needs to be realigned. A new can opener would be good. The current one doesn't work.

Cool and Quiet Oasis
We had a wonderful stay here. The AC worked like a champ against the humid kona winds and at night when things cooled off we could open all of the louvers and let the tropical breezes come through. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few meals and we enjoyed having our coffee on the lanai in the mornings listening to the birds. The location was absolutely perfect. We were just minutes from everywhere we wanted to be and an easy walk to either Kiahuna or Po'ipu beach. The pool at the athletic club was fun and we enjoyed the poolside drink and food service. The bed was nice and big and cozy for a rental property. You can hear Po'ipu road during the day but at night it settles down and isn't busy at all. If anything you hear the chickens louder than the cars, but that's one of the charming joys about Kauai. We had no issues and enjoyed our stay in this quiet, cool, calm oasis. We would definitely stay here again! Just a warning if you have mobility issues, it is a ground floor unit but there are 8 stairs to get down to the 1st floor. They're gentle stairs with a hand rail. I have a bum knee but found them very easy to navigate.

Great beach front stay!
This property was perfect for a couple wanting a quick get away with easy access to the beach. The full kitchen made it easy to keep and prepare food. The beach was only a short walk away; free access to beach chairs and you could rent snorkel and surf gear. We highly recommend this stay!
