Private Cozy Studio walking distance to beaches, shops, restaurants and bars

This studio is perfect for the vacationers who wants to spend their time out and about exploring the island and still have a very nice, comfortable place to come home to. It's on the 4th floor of The Island Surf in South Kihei and within walking distance of many shops, deli's, beaches, restaurants, and bars. It looks out towards the east and the beautiful Haleakala volcano. Although I would highly recommend a rental car to explore the island, the studio's close location to many things makes it ideal for those who choose to not rent a car (walking score - 78).

This 240 sq. ft. studio comes with a full bathroom, a beautiful new walk-in tiled shower, a very comfortable queen size bed, AC, ceiling fan, refrigerator, a microwave, 4 cup brew coffee maker, toaster, dishes glass ware and utensils. It has cable TV, Wi-Fi, and USB chargers.

Listen to your favorite music through your mobile device's music apps or library and the Bluetooth Bose Mini Sound speaker. The blackout drapes are great for sleeping in.

Included is everything you need for the beach - cooler, ice packs, food keepers, beach chairs, mats, towels, beach umbrellas as well as personal rain umbrellas. The studio is quiet - located on the backside of the complex so it does not get the street noise.

The ocean and beautiful Kalama Park are directly across the street where surfing and stand-up paddle boarding lessons take place. It's the perfect spot for whale watching during season and taking in those spectacular Maui sunsets. Surf boards and bikes can easily be rented from shops on the first floor.

The beautiful sandy Kamaole beaches are a short distance just to the south and continuing all the way to Wailea and Makena, home of world famous golf courses.

The studio is perfect for one or two adults - no children please.

I've been in the hospitality business for many years and have set this studio up to please any traveler who wants a very nice, clean accommodation without spending an arm and a leg. If this fits your travel style you will be very pleased with this charming place and the Aloha it offers.

Update on the Lahaina fire:
I am sure you are aware of Lahaina and the tragic event of the fire. Lahaina is slowly starting to rebuild but it will take many years. The rest of the west side of the island where Lahaina is located is fully functioning and open for business.
The Governor and Maui Mayor have emphasized that the rest of the island is still open for tourists to come and enjoy. Kihei has been unaffected. Vacationers are welcome to come and enjoy the South/Central and East part of the island that still has many spectacular places and fun things Maui has to offer. Governor Green has been on national TV recently advising that the best thing interested people can do to help the island recover is to come and vacation here and support our local businesses.

Now after a year since the tragic fire, Lahaina has been cleared of the fire debris and the first homes are being rebuilt. New housing projects are underway and the fire victims are beginning to move in.

The studio is located in The Island Surf Condominium and is zoned as Condo/Hotel and as such is NOT subject to any of the efforts to convert short term vacation rentals to long term rentals. You do not have to be concerned at all in making a vacation reservation at this property. Please note that The Island Surf is a NO SMOKING building. There is a designated smoking area in the parking lot.

Stay in Maui

The studio rented for the week was ideally located, by the sea, close to small shops and restaurants. very pleasant to go out to eat or have a drink after a day spent visiting the island. Very clean and functional. Cloy sent us all the necessary information before our arrival and answered our questions very quickly during the week.

Gem by the ocean in south Maui

Cloy's property was the perfect place for us to stay during our first trip to Maui. Its a small studio in an old building right next to South Maui Gardens. The place was clean and everything was in working order. The unit contains a portable A/C which was perfectly adequate even in the middle of summer. But the real star of the show was the large walk-in shower, which is something you don't typically find at this price point.The location was also great. We often started off our mornings eating breakfast in the Gardens (they also have a Hula Show and a bird stand), before setting off on our adventure for the day. The beach park across the street is great for a morning stroll and features views of two nearby island.It was a great experience, and we would gladly go here again.

Perfect for our honeymoon! A cute little studio apartment, equidistant from just about anywhere that you can visit! Super close to great beaches and restaurants. Great location and price

I would like to be in walking distance from the beach and all sorts of restaurants and entertainment, I recommend booking with Cloy in the middle of Kihei. It’s been a fantastic trip to Maui and Cloy has always been communicative towards any questions I had. Great amenities such as chairs, umbrella and towels for your trip to the beach as well. I recommend anyone book in this great room.

We had a lovely stay in Kihei, and this property provided a comfortable and centrally located base for us to explore Maui. We particularly liked the proximity to food trucks at South Maui Gardens and grocery stores, as well as local beaches (Little Beach in Makena State Park was our favorite). Cloy, the owner, was very responsive, and his place was well appointed with essentials for making a Maui visit as wonderful as it could be. Two thumbs up!

Super clean!

I am a neat freak and this place was the most economical within my dates. Very well cleaned, comfortable bed, working ac, clean pool, easy to follow rules, easy check in and out. Working elevator, plenty of towels, beach gear, paper products, and trash bags. I felt at home! Found a bug and almost went nuts but we killed it and didn’t see anymore. Great communication from host , plenty of hangers and rugs. Big enough bathroom and plenty of space to store items. Near plenty of food choices and 7 min walk to grocery store. 15-25 from kam 1-2. Perfect for my stay.

Cloy has a wonderful unit in Kihei!!! This is our second time staying here and everything was perfect again. We will totally stay here again when we return. Very clean, great area and it is by lots of great restaurants and so close to the beach. Cloy is very nice to work with and answers any questions very quickly. It is a pleasure to stay in this unit.

Exceptional!!

We found a gem! The location was perfect! The neighborhood has many great restaurants and we were a few steps from delicious Food Trucks! This rental is directly across the street from the ocean and a park with a walking/running path. We saw the most beautiful sunsets here!! Our Host was outstanding. We had absolutely everything we needed and more for a great Maui vacation. It was awesome to have the best beach chairs, huge comfy beach towels and even a cooler! We loved this Maui rental and you will too. Super clean! Our Host was the most gracious! We will be back!!

Great location, clean, free parking.

Stayed four nights in February. Great central location, did south loop around to Hanna one day, north loop another day, close to great snorkeling, free parking, an outdoor hose to wash off gear, feet, car if ya want. Across the road from the beach, great PIAI fish restaurant almost next door, several pubs, food trucks, food land grocery has great fresh Poke. Room was plenty big enough. Has a portable A/C unit, we only ran it for an hour to take the heat from the day out just before bed, then slept with windows open. Quiet corner of town, at least in February. Owner was great, great communication, great price for the local. Would stay here again next time we come to snorkel the Molokini Crater, a must do if ya like whales and fish.

Cute and quaint Kihei getaway

Cloy was a great host and communicated very well with me. His clean condo studio unit had everything we needed to make Kihei our home for a few days. It’s in a great location with walking distance to Kalama Park for epic sunset viewing, and right next to South Maui Gardens. Lot of great food options within walking distance! Checking in and out was also a very smooth. Thank you Cloy for being a great host, we hope to come back to Maui very soon!
