We arrived exhausted, ready to relax & get settled, but the unit was not cleaned from prior guests. Joe, the owner, was very friendly and helpful and immediately sent over the cleaner. Cleaner came and did a quick clean so we could get settled, floors still really needed to be moped they felt gross/dirty barefoot to walk on but figured being a quick clean they didnât have time. We noticed tiny ants all over kitchen counters, not enough towels for 4 people we booked for, no hand soap. All issues resulting from cleaner not coming prior and doing a full clean/refill of items ahead of time as they should have. Human error, not the end of the world, mistakes happen, Joe sent them to drop off some bug spray, towels and refills but they forgot the hand soap still. As far as the overall unit, it was nicely updated, bed was comfortable, A/C worked great, washer/dryer in-unit was such a nice amenity, having beach chairs/umbrella/tote was so handy & appreciated, the view was amazing, beach was amazing, turtles come onto beach at night a short walk down the beach, neighborhood had a couple bums wondering/passed out by the market as you drive in, we chose not to walk anywhere other than along the beach. Overall the unit and owner were great! Joe was very accommodating and honestly I think it was just his cleaners fault being day after 4th July they didnât come thru, not Joeâs fault and he was easy to communicate with and made up for the inconvenience.
