Condo in Keystone Overlooking Snake River; Scenic Mountain and River Views!

This new 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom luxury condo sleeps 4 with a king bed and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Clearwater Lofts is a brand new complex near Lakeside Village in Keystone and only a half mile to the Mountain House ski lifts. Enjoy the free Keystone shuttle directly to the ski resort’s Peru Express Chairlift or ride your bike on the recreation path from Clearwater’s front door all the way to Lake Dillon and the surrounding towns. Clearwater Lofts also offers two shared outdoor hot tubs for guest use.

Upon entry guests will find themselves in the open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area. The entryway has a bench and mounted hooks for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. Just past the entryway you will find a modern washer and dryer in the hallway closet. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features quartz countertops and new appliances. The kitchen also has a breakfast bar with seating for three.

The living area offers mountain views, cozy furnishings, and a mounted Smart TV. Cozy up by the stacked stone fireplace and watch a movie as the snow falls. Additionally, The couch pulls-out into a queen sleeper sofa for extra sleeping arrangements. Additional sheets and blankets are stored in the closet. The balcony, located behind the living area offers mountain views.

Next to the living area guests will find the primary suite. This primary suite features a King sized bed, mounted Smart TV, large closet, and an en suite bathroom. The window offers scenic views to enjoy from the comfort of bed. The primary bathroom features quartz countertops and a shower/tub combination with beautiful gray tiling. The bathroom also had a second entrance from the common area.

Guests of Clearwater lofts can park one car in the underground heated garage. Perfect for protecting your car from the Colorado Elements. A second parking spot is available in front of the building on a first come first serve basis.

EVERYTHING WAS VERY NICE EXCEPT FOR TV SERVICE AND THE AWFUL SPOT FOR PARKING. IT IS A GOOD THING MY HUSBAND COULD BACK HIS WAY IN.

Do not rent this unit or use Summit Count Mountain Retreats Management Company

Upon arrival, it was clear the condo was not clean. I used a Swifter mop to dry and wet mop the floors. The floors were beyond dirty. They were filthy. The unit is very dirty overall – baseboard have layers of dirt, windows are visibly dirty, filthy area rug that went from black to gray after I washed it, wall marks, to name a few area to be addressed. Additional issues are: The toilet paper holder is broken. (In reviewing previous site reviews, this has been reported and not fixed), no iron, unit is under-furnished (2 wine glasses provided, 4 coffee cups provided with one being chipped and un-useable, plates are chipped, no bedroom dresser, no bathroom hooks, no deck furniture). Location is terrible: Condo is built on a narrow hillside between US Highway 6 and the river which provides for excessive road noise 24/7 with large tanker trucks using the route to commute over Loveland Pass. The road noise made it necessary to keep the windows closed day and night. With no air-conditioning in the unit, it was uncomfortable, especially for sleeping. The VRBO listing of “Brand New Condo” is not truthful. Clearly, the unit is not brand new and is well worn. We received minimal response to our concerns from the management company. They offered us a $67 discount on our 9-day stay invoice which is laughable. We recommend potential renters look further for a suitable unit managed by a management company other than SCMR.

So, this is a beautiful condo but it is not set up to promote a comfortable stay, more for convenient location. While it does have an indoor garage, don't plan on easily parking a full size vehicle inside! Very very tight. Compact to mid-sized SUV should be okay. No luggage cart available to help move groceries and all the things that accompany you on a driving vacation. Multiple trips to carry! Luckily elevator was working! You'll get your steps in. There is a lovely balcony, but no patio furniture No coffee filters provided - bring your own! Needs TP holder repaired and could use another towel bar. Also, no towels available for hot tub use that we could find. Needs either a dresser or luggage rack. No AC, but to us that wasn't a big deal. Put a fan in the window and it was lovely inside and stayed cool during the day with windows open. Our stay was mid-July. You do hear road noise, but we found that running the fan served as sufficient white noise to filter it out. Loved the washer and dryer. Contemporary furnishings/finishes and actually pretty comfortable! We also found the bed to be fine. Kitchen with minimal supplies but sufficient. Could use some more dishes. Loved that the fridge had icemaker and water dispenser - hey, sometimes it's the little things. Very very clean.

Renter beware of the fine print

Excusing the fact that this property didn’t have AC because it was mentioned in the rental agreement is passable, but the fact it isn’t mentioned in the listing is totally misleading. The place was stifling hot when we arrived. The unit is also right on the main road and it is entirely to hot in the unit not to open the windows. The road noise was horrible and there is no mention of the location in the description. The checkin process is wonky. The only good thing is the unit is clean and updated furnishings.

It wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been in there a lot of broken things the kitchen sink faucet was rattling. Toilet paper dispenser it was falling off the wall. The hot tub cover with sunken into the hot tub in the elevator did not work.

Condo in Keystone Toilet paper holder broken. Towels-none for hot tub and clean towel policy is not customer friendly. Pots and specifically pans for cooking are inferior, potentially unhealthy and certainly worn and need to be replaced. No dresser in bedroom and no place to put clothes-great for 20 something’s and horrible for those of us that expect comfortable living arrangements. Broken cutlery Chipped plates Parking space in garage is worthless for anyone driving a pickup truck. Wi-Fi horrible No TV instructions Chair in bedroom is worthless and takes up space that could/should be used for a chest of drawers No patio furniture while all other units do have patio furniture. Bed not comfortable and movement sensitive Pillows were extremely large and uncomfortable to try and use while sleeping.

Ridiculous check in process.

The photos are accurate and the unit is great. Absolutely nothing wrong in any way shape or form with any of that. The problem is the absurd check in process. You have to go offsite to an office a couple miles up the road and get your move-in packet out of a cubbyhole, and then returned to the property, etc. etc. I came in very late at night and I just wanted to go to bed but it takes 30 minutes to retrieve everything you need in order to check in. It seems to me that like tens of thousands of other vacation rental owners, a keypad door lockwould be significantly less arduous and irritating

Sweet Spot

We really enjoyed the condo. The location near Keystone, the indoor parking, and the hot tub were all great. A couple points of confusion that could be resolved with a sign. It took us and another guest too long to figure out how to open the garage. It was on the pole in plain view but we missed it. It took about the same amount of head scratching to start the hot tub. There were many warnings about pressing the emergency stop so it was unexpected that the jet timer would be adjacent and unmarked. And the ski locker combination (provided by management) did not work. So we used the truck box as storage. Otherwise a great stay.

Great location with access to Loveland Pass

Near stores/groceries in Dillon, numerous hikes from easy to hard nearby, fabulous harder hiking in Loveland Pass area, very close to Frisco/access to Breckenridge area if you want to explore. Condo is quite new, very clean, good for a couple. Would rent again - four stars.
