6/10 Satisfaisant

The picture is a kind of catfish situation. I'm sure at one point the building looked like that and that it at one point smelled okay.
The good: I felt very welcomed by the woman who checked me in. She was very nice and helpful. My room key initially had some issues but she helped fix it. The AC worked very well, which was nice in the 80-ish degree weather, and the shower had really good water pressure and temperature control. It is conveniently located next to a Waffle House, which I had never been to before, some fast food restaurants, and a CVS, and it's less than an hour away from the Kansas City Airport. There was also an Amazon Fire tv that looked pretty new, but I didn't watch it, so I don't really know. The WiFi is reasonably fast and free. There was also plenty of parking.
The bad: I was hoping there would be a chair and table or something like that in the room, but the only furniture was a bed and a set of drawers. The only light source comes from the bathroom or a light near the window; there is no light or even light switch near the bed, so if you want to do some reading in bed, it's a bit of a struggle to see, and then you have to get out of bed to turn the light off. The inn provided a rather rusty towel rack in the bathroom and a hanging rod/shelf for clothes but no hangers.
The rate they charge makes sense, I guess. I just needed a bed, a toilet, a shower, and a sink, which is exactly what I got.
