Très bien situé. Près de tout à pieds (restaurants, boutiques, bars sportifs, tramway gratuit, pharmacie, T-Mobile center, etc) Personnel sympathique surtout Miss Piggy qui s’occupe des déjeuners et qui est très drôle et accueillante. Bon déjeuner jusqu’à 10 h Grande chambre avec bon rideau opacte. Immeuble est un peu vieux (bain avec douche) mais bien entretenu. Immeuble est situé à proximité du poste de police donc un peu plus de sirènes.

I was really impressed with the staff. I was checked in by a young woman and I’m sorry I don’t remember her name but she made everything just fabulous. It really struck me while there that the staff works as a team because I always saw people on point, cleaning a bit, checking in with guests. And no one was just on their phone hanging out behind the front desk. The front desk staff was super helpful. And, even when there was an issue with the stove one morning, the kitchen staff was friendly and trying to get guests a decent breakfast. My room was very clean and super comfortable. Also, Meghan went out of her way to help me with my receipt after I left the hotel and had lost it. I have rarely had such a good experience in a chain hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

Super convenient location, friendly staff, clean rooms. We will definitely stay again. The third party parking manager was less than helpful, our only complaint.

The staff was extremely pleasant and very helpful when I had to leave early. The hallways were very pleasant smelling not at all like most hotels where there is a disinfectant smell. I will definitely stay at Holiday Inn Express when I travel

Uncomfortably warm
We enjoyed our stay, however, the heating and cooling system on the top floor was down for maintenance and a space heater was running when we got there making the room uncomfortably warm and stuffy. we did not know this was an issue. When we called to see if we could turn down the heat we were told we could not and that they had given out their last fan. The best part was Peggy the breakfast lady singing. I LOVED that.

Good location
The hotel was in a good location. About 25 min from airport, 15 min from Harrah’s Casino and 15 min from Arrowhead. Ubers were easy to get. There were places to eat within 3 blocks. The room layout was different than what I was used to. Know that it was hard to keep the room warm, but we managed. The breakfast was pretty good and better than the usual cereal, waffles and fruit at most hotels. They had biscuits/gravy, bacon, sausage, etc. Much more variety. The breakfast hostess was very friendly and helpful during breakfast hours. The staff overall was friendly too.

Staff was great! The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. My only complaint is the $20 parking fee in a very tiny lot that was hard to navigate & only one way in. The second exit-entrance was roped off. If we have to pay to park a hotel we’re paying this much for, the parking lot should be easier to navigate when it’s at maximum capacity

Be prepared to shell out $20 for parking, and $50 for a deposit when you check in. I paid ahead when I booked through Expedia, so imagine my surprise when I arrive and am told I need to pay another $70 in addition to the $170 I paid for a basic room. Despite being an avid Holiday Inn Express fan, between the traffic and sirens waking us throughout the night, and the bathroom that didn't have a proper door, I would be desperate indeed before I stayed at this location again.

Hotel was very clean. The breakfast was good. The lady that works the breakfast was so sweet and kind. She sang to us. We had a nice conversation with her. She was wonderful. However the lady that checked us in acted like we were putting her out just to check in. My email confirmation said check in was at 3:00. We got there at 2:50. She told us check in was 4:00. I explained our confirmation info. She reaffirmed that they did not have any clean rooms. Asked for my phone number to text me as soon as one became available. By 3:50 I decided to go back in. I asked where the public restroom was. She told me it was occupied. Then said 'oh I was about to text you'. But seemed put out. Location is clean and appears to be safe. Right beside the T-Mobil arena.

Another Historic Building on my List
I was unaware when I booked that it was in an historic building. Made my stay even more enjoyable since this is a "hobby" of mine to stay in historic hotels. etc. The building has been beautifully re-done and re-purposed. In fact, has received awards for historic preservation.

Visiting KC for two evenings and had no idea where to stay. Chose this hotel based on Expedia reviews. It did not disappoint. Easy check-in, clean, helpful staff, good breakfast and even had singing entertainment from staff at Saturday breakfast. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

My only issue was one of the front desk employees. They told me repeatedly that my room was not ready for check-in. Finally, an hour past the initial check in time, a manager came out to assist in running the front desk. He immediately gave me my room key even after the employee had told me there were no rooms available. Despite them checking in people (that had not even arrived to the property when I had to tried to check in) that go there half an hour later than I did. Otherwise, the hotel was great. Clean rooms and in a nice area. The parking was easy to find!

Lives up to the Holiday Inn commercials!
I stayed here last minute due to a work change. Not being from the area I was at first concerned if this was a safe area but booked anyway as it was the most convenient for my work and offered parking as well. The check in was staffed by very professional and happy staff, who had great suggestions for dining close by and assured me walking to them would be fine. When I got to my room, it was a clean, remodeled room with great design and a work desk with an office chair somone who had sat on too many hard benches could appreciate! The bathroom was spotless, mirror was well lit and there is a full lenght dressing mirror in the entry hall for checking you outfit before leaving. The room has a nice wardrobe with sufficient space to hang sever suits and again , and inside were a swing out ironing board and iron . Unlike some hotels where the desk is an odd height for doing actual work, this one had a great working height and a well placed outlet with 4 plug ins at the desk top inside and of needing to hunt for it under the desk. The bed was great, medium firmness, plenty of pillows and quality sheets and fluffy comforter. It turns out my concerns were unfounded, about the area being unsafe, I walked to dinner 2 blocks away and there was never anything that made me uncomfortable. You should try Johnny’s tavern for a place to grab a quick dinner, the food is much better than you’d expect from a “bar” and the atmosphere is great, especially if you like watching sports and people.
