Pulelehua Kuilima Estates West #142: Bright & Lively w/ Community Pool & A/C

A restful retreat on the North Shore of O’ahu awaits either couples or small families in the one bedroom, one bath ground floor condominium unit of Pulelehua Kuilima Estates West #142. Located on the grounds of the Turtle Bay Resort, the swaying palm trees, colorful landscaping, and proximity to the beach reassure you that paradise exists, and you’ve just arrived there. Visit the resort restaurants and embark on extraordinary adventures without having to travel more than 15 minutes.

Enjoy the flooring that runs through the living area into the cozy kitchen, a backsplash inspired by the color of the ocean, and an island with updated countertops and bar seating for three. The ocean theme continues here in the bright blue sitting chairs ensconced in front of the flatscreen TV, along with a Queen sleeper sofa where you can sleep up to two children comfortably. Dine al fresco and watch the golfers traverse the course in your backyard. The condo’s single bedroom offers garden views from the California King-sized bed, and you’ll find a full sized stacked washer/dryer just before the full-size bathroom. Although we welcome up to 4 people, this unit is best suited for a couple or family with smaller children.

As part of the Kuilima Estates West amenities, you will have access to the Kuilima West complex which includes 3 pools, a shared BBQ grill (bring your own charcoal) and tennis courts. Turtle Bay Stables, just minutes away, offers trail rides on horseback or book surf lessons and helicopter tour at the resort activity desk just inside the hotel lobby. During your stay, one off street, designated parking space is included and you will have access to one guest spot as well.

Please be advised that you are staying in the country, close to the ocean. Ants, chickens, peacocks, geckos, termites, cockroaches and other animals live here and are a regular part of everyday life. We do treat for pests professionally and will always provide you with a clean well-kept home, but note that these types of visitors are not uncommon.

-Guests will be assigned 1 parking stall during their stay.
-Kuilima Estates West Condo Complex offers their own pool, tennis/pickle ball courts, and shared BBQ grills.
-The sandy beach lagoon just in front of the Villas and Roy’s Beach House is open to everyone.
-Hotel tennis and pickle ball courts, access to the hotel pool, and passes for the hotel gym can be inquired about through the hotel. Please call the activity desk or Nalu gym for up to date information prior to your stay.
-Exercise classes or private massages can be booked at the Nalu spa just inside the hotel.
-Horseback lessons, surf lessons, and helicopter rides can be booked at the activities desk in the hotel lobby.
-The Fazio and Arnold Palmer Golf Courses located in the resort were named one of the top 100 courses in the country by Golf Digest.
-Waimea Bay, The famous Banzai Pipeline, and Polynesian Cultural Center are all just a short drive away.

From the outside, the property looked old and rundown, as did the majority of the community. The individual unit itself had new floors and kitchen countertop, as well as furnishings that were appealing. However, the bathroom had a bug problem, there was poor ventilation, and there were dead cockroaches in the house when we arrived. Also, we chose to leave a day early, and despite having paid for seven full nights, a property manager came to our door to chide us for being a few minutes past the 11 AM checkout time. Again, we were checking out 24 hours early, and were not late for anything. It wasn’t the best way to end our trip.

The complex itself was clean and well maintained, though it's clear that the complex was built in the 80s or earlier. The specific unit was clean and updated, though the AC unit wasn't working properly and the lights outside the door and the stairway leading to the door did not work and made night time entry difficult without a flashlight. The unit had a brand new washer and dryer, so I hope these problems will be fixed soon. Overall, it's a pretty good deal.

Great location and great communication! While the apartment was overall very clean, we were not thrilled to find 4 really large dead cockroaches (2 in the bedroom and 2 in the living room) upon arrival. The bathroom sink was very small and, although there was a medicine cabinet, there really wasn't enough room in it. A few shelves or another medicine cabinet would be helpful.

It was a lovely stay at the condo. Unit was as advertised, clean, safe, access to pools and all of Turtle Bay resort amenities. Management is responsive through text and was kind enough to help us out when there was construction next door. All in all a great experience!

I liked this place. The inside was modern and well-decorated. It had the essentials for a beach vacation: beach gear, cooking utensils and dishes/silverware. The lanai connects to the golf course and we loved how much space this provided, it really felt like a back yard. This place was also close to everything. The beach was a short walk away and grocery store was a 10 minute drive. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a hiccup when getting into the unit but the host answered immediately and helped us out. Place was clean and just as pictured. The bed pillows were super flat but that’s not a huge deal breaker and I’m sure if we would have said anything to the hosts they would have sent over new ones. The AC units in the living room and bedroom worked great and cooled the rooms down fast. They even had beach stuff (cooler,chairs,snorkel). It was like a 5 minute walk to the resort. It’s the lower unit so we could hear the kids in the upper unit playing around. The pool is right in front of the unit so that was nice. My only “complaint” is that you get charged a cleaning fee but when you leave they have you take your trash out and clean your dishes. But otherwise great stay and would recommend and would stay again

You can walk to dinner or lunch at the resort, and you can use the public lagoon in front of Roy's restaurant. There are pools (non-hotel) at the condo, and one is right in front of this unit. There was a night cross-breeze with the front screen door and back screen door, but there are 2 a/c units if you need them. The kitchen has what you need and they even had tea and coffee products available. You are about 20 minutes drive from Haleiwa, and 10 minutes in the other direction to a large/fun food truck area.

We loved this condo. It has been recently remodeled and it was very comfortable and stylish! I loved the modern and fun island decor. The furniture was comfortable. We got some of our best sleep of our vacation here. Our 5 year old used the roll away cot and that was perfect. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook / eat, which we did most of the time. Also a nice coffee machine, but we didn't actually use it. Instead, we walked to the coffee shop in nearby Turtle Bay in the morning and enjoyed lattes while overlooking the beach. We have been to the condos in Turtle Bay before, and love this location. It's so relaxing to be on the golf course grass, within walking distance of the beach, and have a pool and tennis court right outside the front door. Highly recommend this condo in particular!
