Je leur accorde une note de 9.5. La chambre était très grande vue sur le côté mer. Le personnel est extraordinaire, j'ai demandé un petit frigidaire je l'ai reçu rapidement ainsi que d'autres demandes que j'ai fait et tous cela avec le sourire. Pour les gens qui cherche un endroit très tranquille auprès de la mer, c'est extraordinaire. Le restaurant de l'hôtel offre des repas à un prix abordable. Pas de restaurants à proximiter. Il serait souhaitable qu'il y est plus de chaises au bord de la mer. Car c'est une plage grandeur nature peu fréquentée.

À proximité de la piscine et à 2 pas de la plage. Air climatisé très performante, lit correct, grande douche. déjeuner inclus pratique et très bon. Personnel accueillant et serviable, très propre. Demander une chambre avec vu sur le piscine est un must selon moi.

Did unfortuantely not live up to expectations
We were three grown-ups spending 2 pre-booked nights at the hotel. Remote location with nothing nearby so you need a car if you want to move around. Warm welcome and friendly staff. The 2double bed room was small though and appeared a bit shabby (hair on the floor, stains on bed skirt cover). Lovely local beach across the road. Restaurang friendly but busy. However made their best. Parking possibilities okay. Wifi okay. For the money we paid the expectations were perhaps too high.

Beau séjour au Tramonto. Bel hôtel, près de platanes hermosa, super terrasse sur le toit. Luis du restaurant était ultra sympathique. Par contre, très bruyant. Les chambres sont vis à vis de la piscine est les "mur" sont des vitres.

The mildew smell is overwhelming and even though the entire property needs some updating, I could have over looked it all, but the mildew smell made it unbearable and it felt really gross. The pictures of this hotel are generous and not at all what it actually looks like in person unfortunately. The staff was very kind though.

We stayed here as a young family with 5 kids ages 3-13. When we booked this hotel I couldn't really find any reviews that described the beach/ocean since it's a l beachfront hotel so I'm hoping I will help paint a picture. The beach sits right across the non busy street-very close walk. The sand is dark and incredibly soft and goes on forever. There are some chairs and tables (not many maybe 6 chairs) under some shade to sit on. There are signs that say no swimming at this beach because of the rip tides. We swam as anyways but kept a close eye on our kids. We reached boogie boards for the 5 days we stayed at "the surfer factory" in Jaco. We boogie boarded and swam across from the hotel a couple times and enjoyed it but felt safer doing these things at Jaco Beach which isn't far. The waves there are perfect for boogie boarding and the water is so warm to swim in. There are no seashells at Hermosa Beach (the beach in front of the hotel) or Jaco and there is no snorkeling. Boogie boarding and surfing is what it's all about. Oh, and there are tons of Halloween Crabs at Hermosa Beach which was really cool. As for the hotel itself, the rooms were cleaned very well daily, the pool was nice, the breakfast that was included was a sit down hot breakfast and although there weren't many options, it filled us up and was satisfying. We saw many red macaw's in the area including two right out our balcony the first day.

El lugar está ya un poco viejo, para la tarifa esperaba algo más bonito. Necesita renovación de las habitaciones se sienten viejas y desactualizadas, es bastante sencillo y eso que teníamos una Suite que esperaba fuera más linda y moderna. Se sentía como estar en un motel de paso. El desayuno estuvo bien pero no espectacular ni en variedad ni en sabor. Frente a la playa tienen 4 sillas solamente para la cantidad de personas hospedadas es muy poco. En lo positivo la ubicación, el servicio de la gente es bueno, son muy amables y atentos tanto en restaurante como en recepción. La mini refri en la habitación y nos tocó una con vista a la playa. También amplio espacio de parqueo aun cuando sea en un lote a unos metros de distancia.

This property has such great potential. The amenities need some work. Staff , hotel and bar was very excellent. There was a strange smell on the elevator. Outdated Covid placards should be removed in my opinion as most folks don’t want to remember those days. Fix the plastic chairs and pick up the trash on the beach . I will be back but would hope these things can be improved upon

Natural, peaceful setting
Really amazing natural beach setting. Not a lot of development around the hotel, just a few houses, which gives this location its charm. The beach is beautiful to look at and spend time on, but more suitable for surfers than swimmers. Be careful if you swim, the waves can be very strong at times. there are palm trees and hills around the beach and they are incredible. You can see for miles in each direction. You may see wild parrots flying in groups and the setting is just serene. If you are a surfer, you will love this beach. Our rooms were clean and the hot water was always available. The wifi worked most of the time in the room. Occassionally, I would go to the lobby and the connection was much faster there. This hotel offers a free, full Costa Rican breakfast which was very tasty. The restaurant is pretty good too with nice juices, salads, pasta and typical bar food. The staff service is responsive if you ask them for anything. Pool was clean and well-maintained as was the rest of the property for the most part. It's not a 5-star resort, but it can be a little peace of paradise if you enjoy this type of location.

Great breakfast! Beautiful beach, nice pool and pool deck area.A bit out of town so if you don’t eat at the hotel you need to Uber into town. The beach is not a good swimming beach but the pool is great!

Es una buena relacion entre precio y calidad. La habitación estaba limpia, y en buen estado. El desayuno venía incluido y era un buen desayuno, un excelente gallo pinto, huevos revueltos, maduro/palatano macho, tocineta, natilla y frutas. En las cosas por mejorar, hay ciertas áreas algo descuidadas ya sea por mantenimento o limpieza.

The location of the hotel was great. It within few steps to the beach. The rooms were spacious enough but the bathroom was very small. The bathroom door was such that it was difficult to move around. The breakfast was fine, basically same menu daily. One of the things that bothered me the most is the condition of coffee cups and plastic water/juice cups. They were never properly cleaned. The cups smelled like they were just rinsed not really cleaned with soap. We had rented a car so moving around the town and hotel was not an issue. But, if you don't have a car, it may get annoying calling an Uber or taxi. The hotel is very far from the main town. Overall, our stay was fine, comfortable except for few little things.

It doesn’t get any better than having breakfast across from the ocean. Simple rooms, same breakfast everyday. Service was excellent! From the restaurant to the front desk to the people helping with the tv and cleaning, everyone was super nice and welcoming!

We really enjoyed the easy access to the beach and more secluded, so we didn’t have to deal with a large crowd. The downside is transportation is not readily available. We had to wait 30-60 minutes for an Uber, so will need to plan ahead.
