Thank -you for staying with us . Perhaps pick a room closer to the sea away from roadside. The keys are a skinny Island chain unfortunately with Highway 1 that has road noise. Ocean front rooms price points are higher. Best Regards

Hi Kimberly,I'm sorry to hear that you are disappointed with Drop Anchor. 9 out of 10 oceanfront properties in Islamorada have a sea wall of some sort to protect the property from potential hurricane storm surge. Many of our guests swim in the ocean with a float or 'noodle', or they take advantage of our kayaks and paddle boards to get out on the water and/or visit the two sandbars directly from our beach. We hope you will be our guest in the future should you visit Islamorada again.

However, I'll to apologize about the issue you had with the resort fee but, it's a standard fee that all the resorts on the island charge that allows you use the extra amenities, and should have stated it on your confirmation when you booked. I'm sorry to hear you did not like the location of your room but, we do have other room types thats right on the water with a nicer view. The room you booked was a resort view room, and they do not come with a view of the water. Furthermore, I'm sorry to hear you had issues with the heat water during your stay but, I had my maintenance team check out the water temperature in that room and they said it was ok. I'll continue monitoring the water temperature to see if there's an issue. Thank you again for staying with us, and if you're ever in Islamorada again, it would be our pleasure to host you :)

I took a look back at the dates you booked, and we were at no vacancy; so unfortunately, we were unable to move you to an ocean front suite.
