« This place has a fantastic view! There is a huge yard right on the water with relaxing chairs. The patio has a picnic table and a great grill. The owners lived next door and had chickens and gave us a dozen really fresh eggs. The inside was clean and comfortable. New appliances and whatever you could possibly need. There were kayaking boats, oars and vests that the 19!year olds used. It was so much fun! »

« Great location on MDI. Easy to get to EVERYTHING and very little traffic. If you are looking for low key, cleanliness and a welcoming deer everyday, this is the place to stay. Definitely would stay again. Everything has been updated...could use a couple of rugs to soak up the sound while talking or watching TV. Can't beat the location! »

« This house is beautiful and very well appointed. The pool was a huge hit, especially for rainy days. The owners were quick to respond to questions as well. »

« Had everything we needed for a family of 5. Views were nice for breakfast and sunset. Saw deer wondering through the back yard a couple of times. Heard the seals in the evening. Private. Most everything we did around Acadia was under 30 minutes from the house. Only negative in July is that the owners requested that air-conditioning be turned off when not home. Upstairs was 78-81 when we got back in the evenings. Took a while for the upstairs to cool back down for bed. Overall would stay again. »

« This house is in a great location & made a fantastic home base for us rusticators. We accessed the whole island easily, including bicycling the Acadia carriage roads, hiking Cadillac Mountain, shopping in SW & NE Harbor, walking to Bar Island, sand dollar hunting at Seal Harbor Beach, dining in Bar Harbor and an evening sail on the Margaret Todd. Handy maps & guides helped with planning our activities. Loved gatherings in the well-stocked kitchen which easily supported baking scones, prepping...

« We loved this house! The location was perfect: not too far from town but far enough away fromt he crowds. Perfect size for our group of 4 to spread out and be comfortable. 2 very minor things: lignt going up the upstairs didnt work, and a nightlight in the upstairs hallway would be very helpful for middle of the night trips to the bathroom. Also, I would suggest marking the driveway a little better. We came in at dark and it was hard to see. Overall, we loved our stay, and would stay again if...

« I have always wanted to visit this part of the US and it was everything that I hoped it would be. This property has been thoughtfully and lovingly decorated and stocked with everything you would need. Communication with the owner was quick and appreciated. If you are seeking to stay outside of the touristy Bar Harbor yet close to all options, this location is perfect. »

« The property is better that what is depicted in the photos. It had everything we needed, and many things that were unexpected surprises. The hot tub was clean and warm, so need to wait. The unit ACs worked efficiently, but if they are all turned off on a hot day, the house gets pretty warm. We learned the hard way because we stayed during a major heat wave. The kitchen was clean and spacious, and even had a oyster shucking knife...which was perfect because Bar Harbor Oyster Company is only a few...

« This rental spot is close to everything! You can walk to most trails, town and great restaurants! The house was clean and fully stocked, we wanted for nothing! Desiree and Jeremiah were fabulous hosts, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Can’t wait to return! »

« This property was comfortable and clean with everything you need for a restful retreat from the business of Acadia and Bar Harbor. Very convenient for Bass Harbor Lighthouse. We loved being away from the crowds and chaos of Bar Harbor. I highly recommend staying here!Would recommend dinner at nearby Peter Trouts. Lots of locals there. Coffee and bagels and Milagro was also a treat.Only suggestion I have is adding a mattress topper to the master bed. »
