« The property was perfect - beautifully decorated to a high standard, felt like we were staying in a luxury hotel. Very comfortable and had everything we could possibly have needed. Owner was very communicative (not that we had any questions but knew we could get hold of her if needed to.) View from property was just gorgeous. And location was great, just a few minutes walk to ferry terminal and local amenities. (Pubs restaurants shops etc.)Thank you! »

« The accommodation was very spacious, clean, and ideal for a family with a dog. The garden was large and very suitable for children and pets, and ideal for outside activity - play, relaxing and eating. The location was perfect, with beautiful views, close to safe walks, and exploring the shore, as well as being just a 15 minute drive from the town of Dunoon with supermarket, cafes, restaurants, and shops. »

« We had a lovely stay at this property in Arran. The house was perfect for our needs and within walking distance of the shops and eateries of Lamlash. The house had everything we needed and we didnt lack anything. Parking in front of the house was fine but care is needed when driving out into the main road due to poor visibility. Beds were comfy. Water was very hot. Conservatory and back garden were very relaxing. All in all a great place to stay. »

« I can't imagine who found it 'exceptional' as it was only OK.Kitchen not absolutely clean and dishes an odd assortment not calculated for poss 6 people. I had max two people but although there were countless teacups and saucers (?) only one bowl to serve food- plenty of small fruit bowls. Bedding was a bit poor except for the downstairs duvetcover. The pillows all pretty awful and ancient. Bedding upstairs looked as if from a charity shop, though clean. Towels all clean but again old...

« The cottage is cosy, clean and very inviting. Shiskine is a wonderful place to stay, quiet and very appealing. It's very close to Blackwaterfoot, which is beautiful. The Kinloch Hotel does marvellous meals (takeaways too). What really makes the stay worthwhile is the landlady, Jan. Last year, when we couldn't get off the island due to ferry problems, Jan put us up for an extra with no charge.
