AMAZING NATURE GETAWAY!!!
We had an amazing getaway, exactly what we needed, my husband and I took our huskies for hikes and to reconnect with nature and to disconnect from our daily routine. I would love to stay here again, definitely recommend, beautiful cabin!! Great hosts!!!

Amazing getaway in an A frame.
Great living room for a weekend away. Loved the couches, fireplace and looking out the tall windows. Main bed is comfortable. Spiral stairs tricky, easier down than up! Kitchen well equipped. Great communication from hosts!

Wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful stay at the Idyllcreek A-Frame! The location was perfect - a very quiet spot surrounded by trees with the creek nearby, but an easy walk to town. The cabin is very clean, spacious and well stocked, with plenty of space to spread out. The deck area with hot tub and firepit is the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day.

Beautiful Secluded Cabin
The hot tub was fantastic. Especially on cold winter nights. It was very quiet in the area. You feel like you are completely alone even though you are only a 5 minute drive to the town center. Indoors is cute and quaint. You definitely feel the cabin in the woods esthetic inside. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely Location!
This property was lovely. The managers responded to my text messages in a quick and helpful manner. The home itself was very "cool". Located walking distance to the main hub, this was a super convenient location but also felt removed and woodsy. TY

Magical place
We’ve been to Idyllwild many times and this is now our absolute favorite place. So much so, we’ve already rebooked with friends for the winter. The house is warm and wonderful, well appointed and the team that supports you are spectacular. We give this a zillion stars.

Idyllwild cabin retreat
Couldn’t have a better place with better hosts to start out our 10 day road vacation. Highly recommend their properties and will definitely be staying here again. Great little town with great outdoor hiking within minutes. Thank you Kelly and Erin for a fantastic stay.

Awesome Idyllwild Home
We loved this spot. The location is great. It is close to town yet you are surrounded by awesome woods. It was very cosy and clean. We will definitely stay here in the future. Also, we are big hot tub fans. We were a little worried about the size/quality of the hot tub since it isn't clearly highlighted in the photos. However, it turned out to be perfect! It easily fit 4 people and was super nice.

Cozy home in the trees
My husband and I enjoyed all the amenities of the cabin: the hot tub, fireplace and grill were all big draws for us. We loved sleeping in the lofted space with such a beautiful view of the woods. The cabin does have a few close neighbors, but we stayed during the week, so the area was very quiet and serene. I loved the unique style of the A-frame itself but was a little disappointed in the quality and style of the furnishings.

Such a terrific cabin
We loved this place! So cute and the property is beautiful. We often visit Idyllwild and this is probably our favorite place yet. We lucked out and were there for 18 inches of snow falling which made for an extra fun and beautiful stay. Also, the customer service (telling me exactly where to stop to put on my chains on the way up, where best to park to ensure I could get out after the storm, etc) was amazing. Things to be aware of: the A-frame/loft design makes sound travel throughout much of the house so it may be best for a group that sleeps and rises in sync. The second bedroom is more enclosed and is not as impacted by sound downstairs. We didn’t have luck with the WiFi for the latter part of our stay which I’m guessing was due to the storm. This impacts the TV as well since it runs from apps which is a great idea unless the internet is down. The cabin is lovely and made for a wonderful thanksgiving . We are looking forward to staying in it again soon.

Cute and cozy cabin
4 yoga girlfriends and I rented this cabin and had a great time. Quick to respond to our needs and sent maintenance over on a Saturday morning to help with hot tub. We used the kitchen for cooking all our meals, the hot tub every day, and the fire pit. We were outdoors all day hiking and playing, great place to come home to. Would rent this Cabin again.

Cozy little place with a great spa and a walk to town!

It's not extremely secluded as one might think from the picture. There are some neighbors within view, but we didn't really see or hear anybody much at all during our stay. If you're looking for a property tucked way back and totally secluded then this isn't exactly that, but great enough for a few nights. The interior is more spacious than it appears from the outside photos. We made fires in the fireplace every day, but the central heat worked very well when needed. A small bundle of kindling was provided in the house, but we couldn't find any additional by the wood pile so I ripped my own. I also found a California Tiger Salamander hiding nearby. The BBQ worked well, but the drip pan could use a cleaning. We cooked most meals in the kitchen. The pots, pans and utensils provided came in very handy as did some left behind spices and seasonings. We had some minor issues with the burners on the range, but I'm hopeful the owner will correct the problem. It rained one day so we decided to hop in the spa. It was very clean and well treated. The pool service actually came the morning of so I was glad to see attention to detail. The patio firepit was out of propane when we arrived and I didn't realize there was possibly an extra tank in the locked cellar room (should have read the welcome info more thoroughly). The TV/cable service and WiFi worked well. Make sure the stereo receiver is set to SA not SAT/CAB. A few little areas could use a bit more cleaning, such as the ceiling light covers. The kitchen drawers are a bit sticky. The upstairs toilet seat was very loose. It was a little inconvenient to have to lock the front door from the inside and walk out the back door and around to the front. I would suggest adding an additional electronic door lock to the front so as to avoid this. Town is but a 15 minute walk down the road and to the right. There are many quaint shoppes to wander through. There's also a well stocked market on the far end of town that provides some great grass fed meats and other Organic selections.

Beautiful setting! The owners are thoughtful and quickly responsive. We enjoyed resting at the cabin as well as hiking the trails. Slept very well and were able to prepare wonderful meals to share on the pleasant deck.

Winter Relaxation in the Woods
Idyllcreek provided us a few cozy nights for our first visit to Idyllwild. We hiked the Deer Springs trail and walked to town as the cabin is so close and handy. And yet surrounded by the woods. I never tired of staring out the windows at the trees. Kelly was really helpful, reachable, and attentive to our having an enjoyable stay.

Magic Vacation Cabin in the Woods
If you look at this cabin online and think it can't possibly be as good in person as it looks online, you're wrong! It's even better. It really is like staying in a friends home, everything you could think of has been provided. Well stocked spices and kitchen utensils/cookware. The bedding is so comfortable, it's like being at home. There are all kinds of books available for every taste. Firewood for the fireplace. It's all there. We had a magical 2 nights in the cabin and couldn't have asked for a better escape. The best thing to do, in my opinion, was sit on the couch with a hot chocolate and a fire and gaze out the floor to ceiling window into the beautiful forest outside.

Beautiful setting, great hosts
The cabin was as shown in the pictures. The downstairs bathroom was nice pressure and warm when you put the heater on. Very nice. Everything worked great, kitchen was stocked, beds were comfortable. The futon my son slept on wasn't so comfy so he slept on couch which was great. The upstairs bathroom could use an update but worked and did the job. The location was great!! Just a quick 7 minute walk to town, flat... Great place to stay but would recommend for a smaller family. Great hosts and they were very attentive and helpful. Great books and games selection as well!~ Would go back for sure. Idyllwild is beautiful

Just what we needed
We had such a wonderful stay.....unfortunately we only found time in our short stay of small increments on the hammock, relaxing on the deck, walk around the neighborhood and enjoying the views from the cozy couch out of the bold & big a-frame window. Can't wait to have more time there to do just that..... Thank you

Every thing you could want, but.....
First and foremost this is a lovely cabin & the owners were very helpful. Everything about this place is good. The problem is with my husband & I. This is not a good fit for people who are older. My husband is 70 & 6'5". The stair case is a very, very small spiral. Not good for him. The shower is small. The bed is on a platform & hard for older people to get in & out. If you are young this would make a lovely vacation, just not for us. I did not want to review because I could not give it 100% but here it is.

Thank you for your feedback Linda. While I am so sad to hear about the challenges you and your husband encountered, I am grateful for the heads up so that we can help future guests avoid the same. VRBO offers areas to indicate whether the property is suitable for children and wheelchair accessibility which we have marked appropriately but not really for something in between. I have added specific language in our listing to note that Idyllcreek is not the best choice for those with limited mobility and will update photos to ensure that the spiral staircase is clearly visible. Idyllcreek’s sister cabin, Idyllcove A-Frame Vacation cabin (VRBO 889053) is much better suited as it has street level parking, a downstairs bedroom and a wide sturdy staircase to upstairs loft. I am only sorry I didn’t know prior as I would have definitely recommended Idyllcove to you over Idyllcreek. We hope you might come stay with us again at Idyllcove the next time you are in need of some fresh mountain air! - Kelly

Beautiful weekend
It was so beautiful, a perfect getaway , both secluded (almost no neighbors when we were there) and close to town. Idyllwild was amazing, we will be back. So close yet a million miles from city life. Kelly was very nice and even texted us to make sure everything was good.

A-Frame Cabin Earns A+ !
Such a thoughtfully appointed and prepared home, down to the many additional electrical outlets provided for modern families with our electronic toys once the sun sets. Such a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable sofas and beds, great heating system, fireplace, tv. What lovely views there are from every room, too! Kelly is extremely accessible and accommodating. We had a wonderful time in the snow!!

Cozy, comfortable and serene
This cabin was everything we hoped for. Quiet and picturesque location, with friendly neighbors. Close to town, yet felt like we were "away from it all." The house had everything stocked we could ask for, and then some. We even woke up on Christmas morning to a snowy winter wonderland!
