Great location we could see the lions from our room! Only slight downside was the sofa bed was a little on the uncomfortable side, but we had a great time and the staff were great too.

Good experience, really enjoyed our stay. We had the shared bathroom and toilet, they were ok, could be cleaner. The room was good, good size. The safari was amazing, the food was great.

We had a lovely stay here, introducing our little boy to camping for the first time. It was a lovely and cosy pod for the 3 of us and it was amazing being right next to the lions. We loved toasting marshmallows by the fire pits & all the on site restaurants were lovely and delicious food. We had a great time.

Amazing time at Port Lympne

I took my partner for his birthday and we had the most amazing time. The staff were friendly and helpful and the accommodation was clean with some lovely extra touches.

These pods were super cute and very clean. The heating in it was fantastic and kept us warm on a very cold and wet night. We were provided with the and coffee making facilities and a bag of marshmallows to toast by the fire. Kids really enjoyed it. We could also hear and sometimes see the lions nearby.

This was the best experience ever I booked this for my husbands birthday he loved it so much he said it was like staying in the jungle hearing the lions roar it’s magical the pinewood lodge was lovely and cosy we loved our stay thank you so much and it the price was well worth it I would highly recommend.

Lovely stay with very friendly and polite staff - very clean and comfortable surroundings. Only caveat is that it’s not the most baby friendly if you are travelling alone with a baby & the Accomadation I had did not have a fridge.

We had a fantastic stay at the Pinewood Camping Pods and were very impressed overall. A small thing to note is that the main car park is on the opposite side of the bridge, so you may need to walk over with your luggage. The resort does offer a shuttle service, but it’s worth arranging this in advance. The food was excellent. We ate at the Garden Room and were really impressed with both the quality and the range of options, especially for children. We also had dinner at the Bear Lodge restaurant, where the food and service were equally good. Throughout our stay, the staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The atmosphere around the reserve is beautiful and makes for a very relaxing break. If you’re travelling with children, it’s worth checking the buggy policy before booking. The reserve is quite hilly and some routes, particularly the Trojan Steps, can be challenging with a pram and young children. A buggy would have been incredibly useful during our stay in a Pinewood Pod, but we were unable to access one as they appear to be reserved for certain accommodation types. This was the only downside of an otherwise excellent experience. Overall, a wonderful stay with great food, amazing service, and a unique setting. We’d happily return.

A fantastic get away from London. So relaxing. Staff so friendly. Everything was so easy and well organised. Walking in the evening was so peaceful. One thing, I forgot a hygiene item but there is no shop for essentials. But of course staff supplied item free of charge.

1 night family stay

Our stay included access to the park for 2 days with the safari excursion. Our pod was ready at the time stated and was clean and tidy. They provided all bedding, towels and a bag of marshmallows for the fire pit. All staff were friendly and very helpful. We ate at Babydoll’s in the evening and food was delicious… only down side is snack food and drinks in the cafes are quite expensive, I don’t think they need to be that pricey. Overall we loved it and would love to go back.

Our shepherd hut in Pinewood was spotlessly clean and refreshed every day. Staff were always on hand if needed and really helpful at checkin (the process for checking in and out was seamless). Marshmallows, skewers, logs for the indoor and outdoor wood burners, and upmarket tea bags all complimentary; only let down by basic Nescafé coffee sachets and pots of UHT milk. A small fridge would be useful to allow for proper fresh milk and keeping drinks cool. Beds were comfy and the separated bunk beds over the main double an ingenious use of space. Nice toiletries. Excellent location within the park, right next to the lions and tigers as well as the entrance footbridge from the car park making for easy loading/unloading of luggage and getting in and out of the resort (only downside to this is it is right on the road so while you are well separated and can’t see the road there is traffic noise). Quick stroll to the park Base Camp, and an easy downhill walk through the animal enclosures to our favourite eatery Baby Dolls for surprisingly excellent pizza - but especially with children you’ll probably want one of their smart Black Cabs to take you back up the steep hill and they can take a long time to come so plan ahead!

Nice, but wouldn’t go again

Lovely place. I didn’t realise when I booked that the room is not en-suite. Which was fine except only two toilets for 12-14 pods. The pods are nice and very well kept, but very small for mote than 2 people. Family with little kids ok, but we were groups of adults and teenagers so not idea. Over all place is very nice, but probably not worth the cost.
