« Beautiful retreat right in the heart of Hunter Valley. Modern and thought out room with all the amenities you need. Loved the views of the hills and lake, with the bonus of seeing a couple of wild kangaroos early in morning outside of the cabin! The breakfast provisions are a nice touch, as is the complimentary shuttle to Bimbadgen. Would really recommend the latter for their sunset sessions. »

« The positive first: A very nice and helpful lady is the keeper of the place. Unfortunately the negative is heavy. Everything is very old, the room is small, the mattress is terrible, the tiny bathroom is smelly and a major noisy road passes 100 meters away. The breakfast is not on site but in a coffee shop on the other side of the busy road. I booked far ahead of our trip to Australia and paid 260 AUD per night, more than I paid in 4 star hotels in downtown Sydney or Melbourne. This is a...
