Very nice staff. Love the free breakfast and coffee. Love that they provide regular and almond milk (I don’t drink regular milk). The town nearby is nice with a lot of food options. There’s many trails and waterfalls in the area (it’s a short ish drive).

We choose this property because they had mountain views and onsite bar and restaurant. The bar and restaurant were closed, the room was a noisy parking lot view, and I complained about how the room was represented. He upgraded us to a Mountain View room at no extra cost to compensate. But THEN our credit card bill as charged the upgraded price. What a scam. This is the first bad review I’ve given through Expedia. I’ll probably use another service from now on.

Easy check in. I was able to get an early check in and a late check out upon request. I enjoyed my Mountain View room, it was amazing. The desk will hook you up with sticks to toast marshmallows in the fire pit. Property was clean, and the room was dope. The property is in a great location. The down side was, the hotel was short staffed and the restaurant and bar was closed during my stay. The good thing is, Prospect restaurant inside of Scribner hotel is located right across the street.

Beautiful property. Clean, modern, and quiet. It’s a nice get away from the hustle and bustle. The views from the window and fire place outside was stunning as well. However, I was surprised how close the neighbors patio space was to mine. I definitely recommend.

Stayed with our dog. Rooms are very clean and the back lawn was easily accessible. Short drive to Kaaterskill falls trail. Staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We will def stay at this lodge again!

Clean and modern facility with friendly staff. Excellent view of the mountain and convenient location. We were on the basement level and the sounds bounce off the walls to the point I could not sleep well our first night because the people across the hall kept opening and closing their door repeatedly throughout the night. Also, we paid for a full, warm breakfast- and stayed at there because they had a restaurant on site, but the kitchen was closed due to repairs. So all they had was cereal, bagels and coffee. That was pretty disappointing.

Thanks for your review. We were disappointed that we could not open our Tavern for dinner service while you were with us, we would have preferred to have had that dining option for our guests. Continental Breakfast service was not impacted by the restaurant closure and all of our standard offerings were available ( it does not feature any hot food). We hope to have you with us in the future where we can better serve you. Thanks!

We stumbled across Hunter Lodge at the last minute for an overnight stay and it was perfect. Very cool layout, accommodable staff, an indoor reading nook w/ fireplace. Perfect for a weekend getaway stay at Hunter

This Inn is absolutely adorable! The bunk bed room is perfect for families, the lobby/lounge area is warm and inviting with cozy fire, old-fashioned games and books. The restaurant/bar area is cozy as well - we snagged the table by the window for Mountain views. It’s just minutes from Hunter ski resort so super-convenient. The only things I’d say could be improved is the lighting in the room (I had trouble seeing to dig things out of my suitcase. and the mattresses were not the most comfortable (maybe switch up to memory foam?). Still a great place; I’d definitely return if headed to that area again!

Disappointed that fireplaces were shut down by 6 PM and not started again until after eight in the morning. Even though it is off-season, I would have expected coffee and tea to be available to be made around the clock.

Bed was not that comfortable. Mattress needs to be replaced. There was a “knocking” noise 24 hours. Wasn’t loud loud but could definitely hear in the night.
