« I'm house-hunting in Hudson, so my wife and I have stayed in a few other hotels and B&Bs there. However, one night in Pocketbook and I'll definitely continue booking there. I don't understand the complaints about the noise or rude staff, becauee we experienced the exact opposite. The staff were warm & welcoming, and very friendly. Overnight, it was peaceful and quiet. « Very nice room, was supposed to be a “city view” but looked at the rear alley. Upstairs neighbor was loud but not the fault of the property. »

« We had the room with the balcony. That added space was lovely. However there were dead insects on the bathroom sink when we arrived and stains on some of the towels which really made my daughter uncomfortable with the whole stay »

« Nous avons été très agréablement surpris par la chambre qui était grande et accueillante alors que l’extérieur était petit. Très bien situé car toute la rue principale est à 2 pas. Petit bémol, il y’a très peu d’isolation phonique entre les chambres. En plus, l’entrée en contact avec le propriétaire a été très compliqué (9h d’attente!) Hudson est une adorable petite ville à visiter. »

« The location of the property was excellent! The room we had was clean. Two things that were not good- there is no real kitchen area,(or area to gather outside of our room) it is in a small hallway by the back door and does not have a freezer or ice available. Our air conditioner did not work properly and woke us up throughout the night. »

« Highly recommend! We had our honeymoon here and it was a very beautiful historic building, very clean, and a very well-decorated room. Comfy beds, gorgeous bathroom, and spacious; true to the photos. The staff were very warm and welcoming and quickly responsive. Only wish was that the TV in the community room was a smart TV because we wanted to watch the World Cup but the Regular TV did not have it available. Highly recommend a stay!
