We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy cottage in Hot Springs, NC. Perched on a quiet hillside, it offered beautiful mountain views and the perfect mix of privacy and walkability to downtown. While there are some road sounds outdoors, theyâre not heard inside the home and didnât interfere with a great nightâs sleep on the comfy mattresses. We spent most of our time on the spacious, covered outdoor areasâideal for relaxing, enjoying the fire pit, and taking in the misty mountain mornings. The yard was great for our dogs, who were greeted with treats and toys upon arrival. Harper became obsessed with the Kong fox toy and carried it on all our adventures!Inside was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with wine, snacks, towels for muddy paws, and even photos of the hostsâ beloved pup, Bailey, who the home is named after. The hosts were responsive and truly welcoming.Hot Springs is still recovering from the devastating 2024 flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. While some businesses remain closed, the townâs heart shines through in every conversation. If youâre considering booking this cottage, do it. And if youâre wondering whether Hot Springs is worth a visit even during recoveryâabsolutely. In fact, there may be no better time to experience the spirit of this town. This was more than just a place to stayâit was an experience. One filled with mountain mist, cozy fires, tail wags, kindness, and quiet moments that reminded us to slow down and savor the simple joys.
