« Wonderfully authentic Lakeland Inn.Our stay was peaceful with so many opportunities for walks straight from the door.Limited options available for dinner, would have appreciated more choices.cooked breakfast was very good but some yoghurt, fruit would have been welcome.Selection of beers at the bar was very good.The staff work extremely hard but we thought an extra member of staff would have helped to reduce waiting times at dinner and breakfast »

« Charmant petit hôtel de passage, les chambres sont assez confortables. Petit point à revoir sur la literie et la propreté de la salle de bain. Nous y avons dîné 2 fois et la nourriture était bonne. Bon rapport qualité / prix! »

« The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. I think Expedia have been misleading not detailing the facts about that particular...

« We stayed at Old Posting Inn for 2 nights as wanted to explore the lake District area. We wanted a quiet, quaint village as our base, and the Inn was perfect for our needs. The dinner was excellent and the hosts were lovely. The location itself is15 mins from Cockermouth town centre, 30-40 mins from Kewsick, and 45 mins from Buttermere. All in all, it was a perfect holiday for us, and we will come again! »

« Whilst my room was small, it had all I needed. The highlight was the staff: reception and bar/restaurant staff were excellent. Polite, attentive, efficient. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice. The restaurant menu for dinner was ok but sometimes a wider simpler choice would have been nice. »

« スタッフの皆さんはとても感じがよく楽しく過ごせました。ベットシーツが汚れていて、はじめは気が付かなかったのですが、変えてないのかな。。という感じ。別の部屋に泊まった人もいたのですが部屋は広くて暗いか狭いかでした。トイレの窓が完全に閉まらず、夜の間に虫が大量に入ってしまいました。。。食事も美味しかったので設備だけが残念でした。 »
