« Really enjoyed our night in the blue bell , lovely room and a very comfortable bed. Very nice meal in the evening and a lovely breakfast in the morning what’s not to like so when we find ourselves hiking in the area again we will definitely be looking to stay a night or two in the Blue bell »

« Lovely bed and breakfast in stunning surroundings. Angela couldn't do enough and went above and beyond. I would highly recommend it. If you are relying on public transport do your research due to the remote location but well worth the travel. Wish I had booked for longer. »

El restaurante sirve comida de calidad y las raciones son enormes. Nos atendieron estupendamente. La zona es preciosa. Esta vez nuestra estancia tuvo que ser corta pero esperamos volver para disfrutar más tiempo del lugar. »

« Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. »

« A lovely stay. Enjoyed the spa, the bar and playing dominoes next to the fire. The wee dogs loved their chicken dinner too. »

« A 200 year old pub and inn - interesting ! Unfortunately our room was fairly horrible, we definitely got the hotels.com room : 200 year old mattress, wall view, kitchen vents under the window and lots of noise when we (or the neighbours) ran any water. Food in the evening was good and breakfast ok (very dingy dining room). Everything needs an overhaul. The staff were great though ! »

« Lovely clean property, slept 5 people, very warm and cosy in a lovely quiet location on a working farm. Had everything we needed and more, owner was very helpful and generous. Great lication for waljs and visiting surrounding areas within short distances to travel. »

« The Gables is everyone's home away from home! It's the most beautifully appointed home, the very epitome of genteel luxury and Angus and Claire couldn't be better, warmer and fantastic hosts. Their hospitality, care and warmth were wonderful and their attention to detail legendary! We are already planning when we can go back! »

« Dinner was delicious and high quality. Attentive and friendly staff. Quality real ale in the bar. Mix of locals and visitors. Spacious accommodations. Character and lovely atmosphere. Very dog friendly and interesting short walk nearby highlighting prehistoric and dark ages history. »
