« Staff and food excellent. Booked a Superior Double room at £172, unfortunately we got a family room with a single bed and what looked like a Queen bed. Black mould on the bathroom ceiling and a light hanging out, bare wires above the bedroom mirror, heating was not on and we came back to a cold room, had to get the staff to sort the heating out, and although there is tea and coffee in the room with a kettle, there was no milk provided and so we could not make a cuppa in the morning. »

« We enjoyed this fantastic location and thought it was excellent value for money. Our only complaint relates to the Coffee machines at breakfast. The coffee was tasteless and needs to be properly percolated with a better quality of ground coffee beans. Table service for coffee would be much better. »

« We had a beautiful quiet room overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was good - items such as eggs and tomatoes were fresh cooked and hot; meat products were sometimes lukewarm. Service was good. Just a bit disappointed that there was no availability of meals/dinner in the evening- a light lunch was available until 6pm. Would help residents to know this beforehand but that might put off people booking. Monday night was difficult with most eateries closed and we could only find a run of the mill...

« Ideal for a couple break, in my opinion, not as much for solo business travelling. Rooms are hot but fan was provided when asked. It’s an old building bathrooms could a be bit nicer but feeling of the hotel is great. All beautifully maintained outside and excellent spot for walking. Hence 5 stars review »

« I had a wonderful stay at Gretna Green Hotel. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the local area. The breakfast was excellent, and the overall atmosphere was warm and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gretna Green and would happily stay here again. »

« Everything and all the staff were really great except for The Linden Tree Pub. Absolutely dire meal there. Would advise giving that a big miss. The Angler's Arms at Weldon Bridge is absolutely fab for evening meal. We all agreed best meal out ever. Breakfast at Linden Hall Restaurant was great too. »
