sweet house!
We enjoyed our stay but our dog didn't so much as she had a hard time with the hardwood floors. Stayed on the rug in the living room most of the time! The house was clean, comfortable and convenient. Thank you, James!

Lovely Cottage
We loved it! This is such a nice cottage with lots of updates and amenities, and the pups enjoyed the fenced yard. We met a few of the neighbors who were very friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with James. We highly recommend!

Four day weekend
Enjoyed every minute. Rental was clean, comfortable and close to everything we needed. The only problem for our party was the lack of railings on porch steps. Our ages ranged 70-76, so it would have been helpful, but certainly not a deal breaker! We all agreed it would be nice to go back.

Great little cottage
I enjoyed my second stay for 6 weeks at this property. The house is really well decorated, very comfortable, and James provided all the essential items including paper towels, garbage bags, laundry detergent for the entirety of my stay. It was a little home away from home.

Comfy in Blue Ridge
We had the best stay at the Blue Ridge Retreat! The house was the perfect size for our family of 3 + our pup. The fenced backyard was an oasis of smells & squirrel gazing for the dog, while the beds were comfy & the TV let us access YouTube TV to watch futbol (Vamos Colombia!). We took walks in the neighborhood which is quant & lovely. It's so close to downtown Hendersonville. We enjoyed many restaurants, including brunch at Arabella - I highly recommend their specialty lattes. And while not downtown but still very close, the Feta Flav was delish. We hiked up in Asheville & enjoyed a cold beverage at the Sierra Nevada brewery. What a gem of a location!

We had a very enjoyable stay at this home. Had everything we needed and close to everything! Some of our family came by and we enjoyed cooking out on the grill and watching bunnies, white squirrels and chipmunks playing around the yard!! Great place and would definitely go back!!

To our surprise we only found a quarter roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for a 5 day stay, no kitchen sponge, no coffee and no coffee filters. Nice comfortable home with dog friendly back yard.
This property is very comfortable. The furniture is in very good condition and the interior decoration is very well done. It just feels nice to be in this home. Everything was clean and in working order. My bed was comfortable. They didn't miss a thing. My dogs and I were very comfortable there, so I booked another five week stay in June.

Perfect for the 3 of us
My husband, 10 yo, and I just adored this house. In fact our daughter said she wants a house just like it. We are used to the country setting and would have preferred a mountain view, but that's just us. It is close to downtown, but that means traffic noise (on the nearby intersecting street) and a lot of ambulance sirens. We didn't really hear the noise inside, though....only outside. The house is super comfortable. It had everything we needed! One recommendation would be to move a bed into the back office (instead of futon) to make it more of a split living in case another couple goes...then each couple would have their own side of the house and their own bathroom. I get the fact it is smaller, though, so might not work. It worked for us, though! Couch is very nice, the welcome book was helpful with menus from local places, the king size bed was SUPER comfy. They had a plug in fan in the closet, which was very much appreciated. Nice sized fenced back yard for the pup to run around chasing squirrels in. There is a scary sounding, large dog behind the privacy fence that likes to bark when you are out there. Acorns were pinging off the metal roof which our anxious dog didn't love, but you know....it's Fall and was windy...and she got over it. You will really enjoy this house...it is decorated so nicely, is very comfortable and clean, and is close to town if that's your thing. Thanks for sharing your house with us for the weekend!
