Hello R, Thanks for booking with us. It is unfortunate that we never met. We were ready for you at your check-in time, and you sent your friends at that time, who decided to cancel. They then requested the key to give to you, but refused to give us passport information, which is illegal in Cuba. We then waited for you until 3 in the morning. We came back the next day and I had my brother wait for you for 48 hours at the apartment. We sent you my phone number and gave our numbers to your friend. We wrote you every day via expedia, hoping to get an update. I believe it is unfair to say there was no way to reach us, when the opposite was true. 400 steps? That is an exaggeration to say the least. We are on the fourth floor. Contrary to what you wrote, the stairway is lit and there are no repairs going on in the apartment. If you came, you would have seen that it looks exactly as the photos on the website. This is considered the safest area in Havana. With hundreds of guests from other sites, we have only had great reviews. The guest who checked out the same day you were supposed to check in wrote this: "Fantastic location- nice views of ocean, fabulous hosts, so clean and spacious!"
