Get a taste of lake life at our newly renovated Diamond Lake cottage, nestled in Ontario’s scenic highlands. Known for its crystal-clear waters and peaceful charm, it’s perfect for swimming, paddling, and starlit evenings.

BEDROOMS

There are three inviting bedrooms—two located on the lower floor and one on the main floor, making it a cozy retreat for family and friends.

OUTDOOR SPACE

Grill up a delicious meal on the BBQ and enjoy outdoor dining on the sunny deck. Two sets of stairs lead down from the deck—one at the front and one at the side. The yard gently slopes to the water, where a small lakeside deck provides the perfect spot for sunbathing and relaxing while watching the kids swim. The firepit near the water is perfect for evening s’mores under the stars.

WATER ACTIVITIES

Diamond Lake is known for its crystal-clear waters and excellent swimming. The sandy and rocky bottom gently slopes before dropping off to deeper water—5-7 feet (depending on the time of year) at the dock's end. Several water toys are provided for guests, including a canoe, paddleboat, and two stand-up paddleboards.

Located on a year-round road, the cottage has a large driveway that can accommodate up to 5 vehicles, making it ideal for group stays or family get-togethers.

Nestled in Ontario’s Highlands, Diamond Lake offers a serene escape surrounded by natural beauty. Mornings are peaceful, with calm waters perfect for quiet reflection, while weekends bring a lively yet laid-back vibe as boaters enjoy the lake. Just 20 minutes away, Bancroft—the "Mineral Capital of Canada"—features unique shops, the Mineral Museum, and the famous Rockhound Gemboree in August. Outdoor enthusiasts will love nearby hiking trails, lookouts, and ATV routes.

Bancroft has everything you need, including grocery stores (Foodland and No Frills) and casual dining spots like Vito’s for Italian and Kawartha Dairy for ice cream and mini-golf. Whether you're enjoying local adventures, dining out, or simply relaxing by the water, Diamond Lake is the perfect balance of peaceful retreat and outdoor fun.

➤ Please note: Towels and sheets are not provided. Guests are responsible for bringing their own during their stay.
➤ We provide a propane tank for your convenience. If it happens to run out during your stay, the nearest store for a refill is just a quick 10-minute drive away.
➤ Feel free to bring your own firewood, as we don’t supply it at the property.
➤ This cottage runs on a septic system, so to avoid damage, please do not dispose of any food, grease, or solids in the sink.

1. Cancellation Policy for Direct Booking Long-Term Reservations (30 days or more):
● For reservations of 30 days or longer, a separate cancellation policy applies:
● Guests will receive a full refund if they cancel at least 30 days before the scheduled check-in date.
● A 50% refund will be issued for cancellations made between 14 and 29 days prior to the scheduled check-in date.
● No refund will be provided for cancellations made 13 days or fewer before the scheduled check-in date.

2. Upon booking, you will receive a rental agreement/check-in form that you are required to sign and return before your arrival

3. If you are local and / or under the age of 23 please notify us before making your reservation

4. Guests acknowledge that they will keep their noise level to a minimum after 10:00 pm; sound will travel through the walls if too loud.

5. No parties or events allowed

6. No pets allowed

7. This cottage runs on a septic system, so to avoid damage, please do not dispose of any food, grease, or solids in the sink.

8. We will place a small deposit hold on your credit card 2 days before your arrival to cover any accidental property damage that may occur and it will be released after your check out. If we fail to capture your security deposit, your reservation will automatically be cancelled.

9. We would like to inform you that for direct bookings, a 4% credit card fee will be applied to any cancellations and refunds and we will follow the platform's cancellation policy

10. Guest must provide us with a valid working phone number & guests listed on the reservation must report to us within 2 hours from the time of arrival if anything in regards to cleanliness does not meet their standards so we can help address the situation as soon as possible

11. NO SMOKING or use of fire permitted in the rental; guest acknowledges that no "smoking" includes the use of vape pens and marijuana and "use of fire" includes the lighting of candles, incense, or sage. There will be a $200 charge per day of reservation if this rule is not followed

12. There can not be any more than the allowed number of guests in or on the property at any one time, violation could lead to the immediate removal of all guests without a refund

13. Late check-out fee of $50 (if not authorized) applies for check-outs after 11:00 am. We're sorry we have to charge this but we pay our housekeepers based on the agreed-upon checkout time and if they are unable to clean we still have to pay them

14. Guests who make reservations for over 30 days must sign our standard lease agreement and agree to a background check before check-in (it will be provided before check-in)

15. As part of our commitment to maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for all guests, we require a midterm cleaning for reservations lasting 30 days or longer. The midterm cleaning will take place on the 15th day of your reservation. This cleaning is mandatory and is designed to ensure the continued cleanliness and hygiene of the property

16. The cleaning fee for the mandatory mid-stay clean will be deducted from your security deposit (or through Airbnb resolutions)

17. Excessively dirty units will incur an additional cleaning fee and will be evidenced with photos

18. For your security and protection the property is equipped with an exterior camera

19. Please remember to take all of your belongings with you upon checkout. Any items left behind will incur a $50 Mailing fee (separate from the cost of postage). We will do our best to send your items back to you within a week

20. If not following any of our rules forces us to refund or discount an upcoming or existing guest you will be liable for the costs

21. If you were a previous/current guest and did not respect our house rules and our property, we have the right to decline your next reservation. Thank you for understanding

We were disappointed with our stay at this property. Upon arrival, the place was not clean — the floors had not been vacuumed or washed, everything was dusty, the washroom had hair left in it, and there was even stuff stuck to the walls.The photos on the listing were also misleading; for example, the kitchen table had been moved in the pictures to make the kitchen look larger than it actually is.During our stay, we ran out of basic supplies like dishwasher pods and propane. We even had to make a trip into town to purchase propane ourselves in order to use the barbecue.While the property has potential, the lack of cleanliness, misleading photos, and missing essentials made our experience less enjoyable than expected.
