Nice location-run down cabin
Rundown, 1 dishtowel for 5 nights, pot and pans scratched and rusty, only 1 usable. Handmade doors would not shut, latches cheap and didn't work, can't shut bedroom door-stovetop dangerous with 2 of the knobs broken, others taped on, couldn't tell if the gas was on or off-very dangerous!! Very soiled and worn out couch, chairs, table. Rummage sale rejects! Cabin next to intersection-noisy. Bathroom shelves are pieced together, stained 2x4's. Dirty rugs thru out. Too bad because the property is large with nice trees and birds. Very good for birding and walking.

Anniversary
Cozy and comfortable with just enough space. Loved that we were able to make a fire in the fireplace. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed. Beautiful area. Close to a great little grocery store in Harbor Springs as well as shopping in downtown Petosky.

We loved this place ! The cabin and its location were perfect! Cabin is cozy and equipped with what you need. We brought bag chairs for outside (would recommend). Owner was prompt to respond and flexible with dates when we were forced to reschedule - twice ! Highly recommend and hope to return myself !

Just returned from a long ski weekend using this place as home base. It was amazing. The place is spotless clean (which is saying a lot for a cabin in the woods!). We saw deer on or near the place each night and the view to the lake was awesome. Fireplace was cozy & warm. Skiing was great too. What a great retreat. Hoping we can make it back!

Harbor Springs Winter Getaway
Very clean authentic cabin with all of the amenities you need. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful cabin just outside of Harbor Springs. The winter snowfall was just perfect.

Amazing Location and Clean Property
One of the best rentals we've ever stayed in. The size of this cabin was pleasantly surprising. Clean, clean, clean which is SO important for us. And the wood-burning fireplace was so cozy on our winter ski trip! Plus, you can't beat the views of Lake Michigan out the front windows. Thanks so much for the stay - we'll be back!

Lovely rustic cabin
We enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay. If you're interested in watching the Live Thanksgiving football game, then you need to make sure you know how to stream and have a subscription in advance. Bill was readily available when we had some issues with alarms going off. Other than that, we would highly recommend this cabin.

Cozy little get away
When we were growing up we had a family cottage that we can no longer visit.. upon entering this cabin instant memories came flooding in from childhood as the smell reminded us just of that cottage. It was a very nice nostalgic moment for my sister and I. We very much enjoyed our visit and the cute little town of Harbor Springs! Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy get away!!

Pre-holiday getaway
Cabin is just perfect for a relaxing trip. Water view with an amazing sunset and a dusting of snow felt very festive. Well stocked to meet basic needs and incredibly clean. Fireplace added to the ambiance and we used it the entire time we were there. Firewood was provided but we knew we would far exceed what could be expected for anyone else to provide, so a quick trip to Boyne City for decent wood was our only outing. The remainder of our time was spent on-site enjoying the solitude. Great communication with owners. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful Getaway
The cabin was very clean and homey. The weather was pretty crummy during our stay but we enjoyed staying in and having a roaring fire in the big stone fireplace. The kitchen addition was very convenient.

Access Distance to Little Traverse Bay
Beautiful cabin on top of a nice bluff. From listing picture it appears Little Traverse Bay is just across the road. It was a 2.3 mile bike ride one way. Listing should state water view no private access. Cabin was nicely update, Bathroom tub updated to full size would make stay more comfortable.

It was a very,very clean. Close to town. Overall well stocked. My only suggestion to have extra throws. Indoor fireplace was very nice (gave off great heat) It had the charm of a cabin, with updated amenities. Would definitely return.

Fall Break
Booked this in January and could not wait for the time to come. It did not disappoint! Now I’m sad it’s over. Very clean cabin, comfortable bedding and living space and the fireplace was fantastic! Saw some deer in the backyard. Loved that the cabin was in Cabins of North America book! We will be back for sure! 🍂🍁

Cozy Fall Getaway
What a great stay! The cabin was the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in. It was far enough out for a sense of privacy, but a quick drive to restaurants, downtown, and grocery store. We loved lighting a fire every night! One of the bedrooms was big enough to fit our pack n play. Can’t say enough great things about the cabin, it was very cozy and we made some great memories!

Fantastic Fall Getaway- we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and plan to come back. Cozy, clean, comfortable and close to town. Stone Fireplace was very romantic and view of the water while having morning coffee was a bonus!

Very nice older cabin, extremely clean, well furnished, great kitchen, living room with stone wall fireplace. We'll be going back again next year. (And after three days, my wife found the "naked lady". If you don't know what that's about, you'll have to go and read the guest book).

Nice House but close to busy road
The house was nice overall and we were comfortable. It's a nice place for a couple or a couple with very small children. Anything more than that would get too cramped. The biggest two drawbacks were the busy road 25 feet from the front door and the lack of beach access/view. The beach view picture was misleading. You can see the lake a bit through an open spot in the trees, but mostly you see trees. And you can't walk to the beach, you need to drive or bike to the beach. It's a quick drive to multiple beaches, but you do have to drive and park, which was not what we expected. If you're looking for a beach property, this isn't it. Other than that, it was a nice place and we enjoyed our stay.

David, thanks for your review. The property listing states, 'Beach access is just a few minutes drive up the road at Thorne Swift Nature Preserve. Or visit the magnificent mile long beach at Petoskey State Park or the two public beaches in town.' I'm not sure why you were expecting beach access at the property.

Two night stay
This place was perfect for our stay. It’s just off the main road on a bit of land. The cabin is clean, charming, and has everything you need. The check in process was easy and we felt safe during our stay. This is a perfect stay for a small family or 2 couples (2 queen bedrooms). I definitely recommend staying here!

Loved our stay. It was a fantastic little place. We weren’t aware that it was so close to the busy M119 highway, but other than that it was just as listed. No surprises. Comfortable space for my husband and I. Just bring any extra toiletries like soap, shampoo and conditioner, and toilet paper as well as kitchen basic supplies like paper towels, garbage bags if you are staying for longer than a weekend. It’s a cabin so I guess that’s what you should expect. It was very clean and not far to the public beach or downtown area.
